He s considered dead to law, she's simply unaware of that presumption, and a "dismissal" isn't what you believe it to be. It is another way of saying "dispensation," which 's effectively a license to get away with something that 'd otherwise be illegal.

His argument is that he can't be charged, because there is not "victim" because the "company" can't testify against him. Based on this theory, he can just walk into a Walmart or some other major store, and take a $2000 television without paying for it, because "no victim," he stole from the company and the company can't testify.

With the suspended license thing, I remember a time in my life when I learned that I had been driving on a suspended license for more than a year. I was doing a background check for a federal contract and I had to turn in a driving record, and I learned that my license has been suspended. I contacted the courthouse, they told me they hadn't suspended it. I contacted the license bureau and they said that the court had suspended it. A few days later they learned that they had suspended it without knowing it, there was a late fee on a ticket that they failed to post to the account and it got stuck in the computer. Long story short, I paid the $15 and my license was restored. And I had been driving while suspended for about 16 months.
