I am in Hindustan Unilever, Strategy. Leaving company within 6 months of joining. Every single day is a hell. Worst experience. Worked for a couple of startups in the past. Those were much better in every aspect - learning, exposure, leadership development, culture & belongingness, support - except the salay.

Other Major deciding factors to choose the company are 1. Leadership position in the market and market share growth. Their new products and growth plan 2. Past attrition in the company at various levels 3. Reporting boss and his reputation and his capabilities. 4. HR employee policies

1.20. Bar chart. I don't know about other companies, but w.r.t 2nd from the top on y axis, I can say this. (i) HR of this company while joining says join soon by ignoring the notice period of previous employer and he's ok to recruit without need for relieving letter of previous employer (ii) Same HR office, while joining take signatures on documents of so many pages and say the employee gets a copy on reporting day , but later provide only few pages but NOT all pages when employee/ teacher joins(iii) Same HR office, in the middle of year without discussion, sends info that resignation terms are changed with immediate effect and employee cannot resign anytime but only during a specified month of the year and all employee have to sign the letter and send this to this soon to their office.(iv) Same company HR serves/threaten to serve legal notice to an employee violating notice period while quitting/ resigning. (v)Same HR office when a honest(notice serving) employee resigns, issues the relieving letter on earlier date or issues late or no relieving/no response depending on their need!!! Really shocking

Too many companies are too greedy and chop people off at drop of a hat. Not being cynical but good culture and supporting manager is extremly important to avoid burnt out.

Unfortunately, this metric ‘revenue per employee’ depends in where the company is positioned in the overall value chain.

Unfair comparison. Don't discourage people from joining startups. Instead could have compared HUL vs Parle HUL vs ITC HUL vs Marico Could lead to better insights. Byjus can be compared to Unacademy though.
