I have diabetes, high cholesterol and thyroid from last year but I have still kept my ramzaan fasts, I take my medicine by 3am and then have my sehri at 4am and take my medicine after opening my fast and so far allah has given me stability in health and inshallah I will complete the remaining fasts as we are in the midst of Ramzaan.

I also have dibeties. I live in the States. I decided in 2019 when going on medication. I wont be able to fast 16 hours plus. What I did was fast for 12 hours Alhumdulilah. I did not want to totally give up. Also asked my doctor. His reply was do.the best you can. He said health comes first. So far so good. We have to follow our inner health. If I have to stop for any reason I will. But knowing I am making an effort for Allaah SWT. That makes me happy. Good luck Sister.

Subhan Allah This advice comes right on time. Ive been ill since before Ramadan and pushed myself to fast and actually ended up fainting and falling down a flight of stairs, because I always feel so much pressure to be strict on myself. Alhamdulilah I only have minor injuries.

Ma shaa Allah I am a revert this is the first Ramadhan that I am unable to fast as I am on medication after surviving 2 heart attacks and having a stent fitted in my artery I was told I cannot fast by my doctor. This made me feel full of regret & sad within myself being unable to fast with my family and the ummah. This message from Mufti Menk has made me feel much better now jazakallahkier Shaykh Mufti Menk may Allah swt reward you in this life and place you in the highest rank in Jannah Aameen

This was really helpful for me. This is my first Ramadan. I've never fasted before. I have a stomach condition that's made worse by long periods of not eating, but I wanted to see if I could do it, so I tried the first day, but I have had pain every day since, so I determined that I shouldn't try to fast anymore. Others have told me it's okay, but being a new revert, it still feels a little bad not to be able to partake in that part of things.

This is my first Ramadan alone as a new revert as well. I became so ill after fasting that I was unable to eat at iftar. I began to vomit after only eating dates and water and was sick for several hours into the night and could not eat or enjoy iftar. I too was in so much pain, and have felt so heartbroken ever since, I understand how you feel. May Allah make it easier for you 🤲🏻💗

Alhamdulillah ❤️ thank you so much for this video. This is my first Ramadan as a revert, I am alone, I don’t know any muslims, and there is no masjid or community where I live. I have never dry fasted, and experiencing Ramadan for the first time, I gave it my all. I had successfully fasted the entire day, however when it came to Iftar and breaking my fast with a few dates and some water (after a couple of hours of persisting through pain from dehydration), I then became soooo so ill for hours, nausea and vomiting, unable to eat at all, muscle pain. I could not enjoy iftar, and was unable to eat after that until several hours later into the night I awoke from a nap and had a small amount of food. I could not even complete my Isha prayer as I couldn’t get the words out properly and had to lay down as I was so nauseous and about to collapse. I have previously been able to fast for long hours (but with water), and I eat a very healthy halal diet as well…. This was an extreme feeling I have never experienced before. I awoke the next day feeling sooooooo so ill and luckily I did not have to work. However I was left gravely heartbroken, feeling like a failure, and feeling so guilty for eating since then, and feeling guilt for the fear I have had surrounding what I experienced with it since. I have been feeling heartboken this Ramadan and praying to Allah for answers on how to proceed with fasting in the future, as it truly is something I want to do without hurting my body. So thank you for this video, as it has brought great comfort and understanding to me. May Allah bless you greatly Mufti 🤲🏻💖

I haven’t felt well the past few days. It’s just been a stuffy nose. I still fasted because it didn’t feel that bad. It’s probably also because of stubbornness with this being my first Ramadan since reverting and I want to go through the whole month fasting. If I felt worse each day I would have not fasted for a couple days. But I can feel it going away and no need to not fast.

Salam alaykum brothers and sisters. Initially i didn't want to do this, but, I saw something which made my heart cry. I seriously wanted to help this guy in this holy month of Ramadhan. So, this guy, Jazakallah, he comes from a well to do family. Back in 2019, he started a business with which he used to earn enough for his basic needs. Now something happened and the business failed. He still is running the busines but it he has not able to break even let alone take profits. In the meanwhile he got married. His responsibilities increased. The business is pathetic and he has no other source of income. I talked to him one day. He is like very depressed and has lost all his interest in things and prefers to sit quite. He never really talks to anybody. Last sale he has done was four months from the day this comment has appeared. The guy literally has nothing to give to his family at the end of the day. I felt him. He is on a thin line between having faith in Allah and losing it. I request all my brothers who are reading this comment to make dua and if possible purchase some stuff from him. If you're interested please DM me on instagram or send a reply here and I'll send you his business page. Please do not tell him or let him know that we know. Just act as a normal customer. He needs this. Let's come together as a Muslim Ummah and help this brother out. Jazakallah Khair.

I also wonder about this. My issue is two things 1) I have ADHD and depression If I take my medication I must eat or it will cause major issues. 2) when I fasted last year I started blacking out after the first week. I was told by a doctor not to fast because it was dropping my blood pressure and blood sugar.
