No information has drastically contradicted what was said? There's no project under way at the moment. They're a two-project studio. Project One - Iron Man. Project Two - Battlefield. All we've confirmed is that they haven't gone into pre-production on a remake for Dead Space 2.

People bought the game. The "problem" is that Dead Space is a more of a niche game. Space Sci-Fi Horror. Only more dedicated gamers enjoy this type of genre. Because the game is damn scary and casual people won't enjoy this type of stuff. Dead Space also isn't a long-established genre like Resident Evil. It's really a shame that they this franchise on ice twice. My favourite action horror game out there.
