Especially in winter conditions a chainsaw in the woods along with blankets water and food could be a lifesaver guys . Which one do you prefer gas or electric or both but since your truck has an outlet for 120 volts definitely the electric with two batteries. But the gas wouldn’t be bad either . Be careful and stay safe my friends and God love ❤ya both.

The electric is really nice. No need to carry gas, but not as powerful either. Yea we have two extra batteries but didn’t think about keeping the chargers in the truck too, just in case. Putting it in now. Thanks.

That’s what we call a “widow maker”. On our property we had a lot of skinny pines left after the property had been logged of the money trees. These skinny trees would snap off about midway or higher and come crashing down. Be safe and always prepared.

That’s what we call them too. Thanks.

It’s always something, you two are prepared for just about anything, we are about the same age as you two, fairly close medical care is definitely a must at our age, hope you are close by in case of any emergency, stay safe !

Norm you should start plowing your road wider so you don't run out of room. Once that bank freezes hard and you can't make it wider.

Having a bigger sized gas chainsaw wouldn’t hurt since you live in a forest area… power to charge batteries can be hard to come by, as you’ve discovered with your generators. Shovel, protein bars, blankets, tire chains, water are always recommended to have in snowy areas as you never know…. Be Safe ❤

We have two other bigger gas powered chain saws. Just thought we’d try the DeWalt electric out in this situation. All the other items are also great suggestions. Thanks.

Hi norm an kim yes a chainsaw is a must if you have trees near your road or near buildings ect . The weather in scotland where I live has been brutal we got 20 inches of snow and temperatures of minus 14 degrees. Then a abrupt huge storm came in with hurricane force winds and rain about 100 miles from where I live the wind at a ski centre at glencoe was recorded at 168mph with blizzard's on my property I had 4 trees down and they were a lot bigger than your tree . I also carry a shovel and snow chains as where I am it steep winding road . I also have to carry a big flash tourch and I take a flask of hot soup and hot coffee as well because I might hit snow drifts and be easily stranded great wee tool battery saw remember if taking battery saw take extra battery an plug in charger for keeping batteries in full power

@MountainBeaches10 ай бұрын
Hadn't planned on it but we'll see. Certainly not before summer. I've liked it so far. I also hear the TYM tractors are really good but we don't have a dealer that is close. Having a dealer that is close can sometimes be more important than the actual brand.

you guys need to go back where ever came from because this is mild winter so think about what you doing
@MountainBeaches10 ай бұрын
Not sure anyone would call -23 mild. Besides "where we came from" has winters just as bad and worse. 😂
