I think it can be done with more honesty tho, because the fact is, you did have a business card. Don't mistake that a lot of people have life experience and intuitions that could make that not look good for you. There are other ways of getting the homeowners contact info, such as saying, " listen, I've taken some pictures of the damage and I'd like to email them to you" ; at which pint you can usually affirm the name and then lead off with the local area code, then they usually always say oh no, mines 254- and then proceed to give you the rest of the number. I like the energy sir. But control and trust are 2 different things.
