Had the same situation with the Kurdistan achievement. Conquered all the cores the hard way by playing and fighting as Kurdistan. Only to find out every one else conquered the cores as another country and released it. Love your dedication to the ‘intended’ way!

That was a demonstration of true skill, and I am sure how PDX intended. There should be Iron Cross "With Oak Leaves" achievements for doing it the hard way not the cheesy way. Now I face the dilemma of whether just to cheese this achievement or do it properly. MMM

Looking forward to watching this. Sámi are the name of the people, and Sápmi is the name of the area. I've always heard it pronounced kinda like "Saw-mee" and "Sap-mee" I did the achievement the easy way and released and played as after a successful Norway run, because I have skill issues.

I don't know if anyone pointed this out but I find to help with the supply you can start building a railroad as Sweden towards Norway in the territory you will occupy as the Sampi before you release them and it will continue being built when you do release them

I have 2000 plus hours in game and a lot of that since nsb and I only noticed it yesterday playing a Finland run to get the final achievement. Now just have to wait till the per albin bus one is fixed to get back to completion

I tried it as well, but made a horrible mistake thta prevented me from getting it! I´m just gonna explain real Quick: -Start as Norway, do Industry in Narvik, release as free Sapmi -start Communist civil war, wait till you got all factory focuses (other Sapmi hopefully too) -win civil war, join Comintern -justify against Finnland, gets garanteed (however-you-spell-that), start was with allies, call USSR, win, occupy your finnish cores (in my scenario sovjets took petsamo [!] ) -Justify against Sweden, somehow was garanteed but didn´t join allies, win, takes your cores, make puppet -start fascist civil war in occupied territories, own those, non agression- pact with allies, join Germany, if too hard give militay acces to allies who are at war with comintern, defeat commi sapmi -idealy you now own all the territory you took (I didn´t have petsamo) -start collab on USSR, (IMPORTANT: cancel militay acess of allies! otherwise will free petsamo to finnland and can´t take it in peacedeal), justify and declare when Germany does Barbarossa -take all core states and get achievment! ---I forgot that finland will be liberated and owned all of my cores exept petsamo, so I would have had to defeat america as Sapmi and I was not ready for that. Just played as fascist finnland annexed all neighburs and won winter war, easy---

I'm nearly through with my first Finland game. I'm going to get the achieve for defeating Soviets without joining a faction, and I'll probably get the one for creating Greater Finland. But the one that struck me is the MIO achieve. I didn't think I'd be picking that up, but the focus tree is absolutely loaded with "+1 level" bonuses to MIOs. I think there needs to be a total overhaul of trees to balance this.

Just tried this and Italy wouldn't send me any troops so I got eaten by 11 Norwegian divisions ;_;

Italy doesn't just send them, you need to have a mutual war and create a frontline or garrison order with a general and then request expeditionary troops

Hardest way might be doing it by releasing the country from finland, cuz you get only one shitty province with no rss, Sweden ones atleast got some rss

You get either two or 3 provinces with finland because of salla and petsamo. But definitely it is the smallest population wise and factory wise too
