I cannot beat a single division with unplanned attack active. With all my best troops circled around it. They fall back on one city and my run is done unless i picked the right planned offensive area. Or else Im always in 1937 with france about to get guaranteed.

Thanks a lot for the guide, I don't like following guides closely as it just isn't fun for me that way but it helped a lot in coming up with my version for it and its a great video.

There's so many technicalities that in theory France can core like half the world. It would be super fun to see you get some friends together and try and form the absolute maximal France

Hey Hatless. the best way to give yourself a lend lease deficit, is to lend lease someone a billion of some odd equipment. Say you have like 1 random basic rifle from brazil in your stock, and you promise to lendlease a billion to Italy during the ethiopian war, you will basically have a 1 billion rifle deficit for the rest of the game without actually depriving your units of any real stock.

so... i don't know what changed since you made this video, BUT: -Invading the Netherlands still works fine - Germany does weird stuff like manually justifying on belgium and Luxembourg mid 1938 - France somehow has 90 divisions stacked on the border by the time you are in any way ready to take them on - Your 'fleet" just dies to the UK instantly there is no way to get through the channel and they don't leave for whatever reason - despite the 35% attack buff you can't break through the french lines - Germany refuses to attack, they end up at war with Czechoslovakia and they just don't cap them even though they could, leading to them bleeding all the artillery you would otherwise get through lend lease. i don't know man, something's off. I usually get your strats to work even if the video is a year old but this one... seems impossible

I succeeded in a similar challenge by surviving as belgium. It is surprisingly easy making a small defensive pocket with 1 port, waiting until american tanks land and then overruning the germans.

I personally enjoy seeing these repeat runs, it’s cool to see how the strategy is refined overtime

This guide works in TOA (1.14). I followed the guide for the first part, did all the focus as in the video. Then, WWII started on Aug 24, 1939. Wait until Sept 8 1939 before sent the volunteer. It arrives on Sept 22, use strategic deploy in the division portal, manually click on railways to cape town, make sure you followed all railways, then the achievement pops up. Thanks for the guide!

Re Portugal - all ideologies can get the African cores.If I recall correctly it's part of their development path. Re Brazil - it can still happen but not on historical. But it's been never properly programmed, as the player you always needed to lend a hand. The only way I can see it happen on historical as France is if you intentionally pull the Spanish civil war into the war with the Axis, thereby prolonging it, while pulling the monarchists to your side, and somehow (don't ask me how) kill the Axis in such a way that you get most of the war contribution to capture the Benelux, Germany and Italy. Also must be lucky not to have Rep Spain join the Allies or Comintern. Then wardec and puppet Portugal and have them somehow go down their monarchist tree. I am not sure that is even possible tbh by that point. And how Portugal then would agree with Spain? Dunno.

I literally got the achievement 2 years ago, when my troops were just standing still at the 3 provinces and the germans where just keep bashing their heads on me. Because of that I already maxed out gbp doctrine 🤣🤣

On our HoI IV co-op discord channel we had three of us play Portugal, Spain, and France and do everything we could to make them strong, and went monarchist and let ourselves be annexed. I forget which was the final country... France maybe. Either way after annexation the others got to co-op on the nation. Supercharged. Much fun.

Might explain the unit movement timing is that when you attack an enemy unit it applies a massive % speed debuff to your units. You can hover over it during an attack and it is something like 80%. It is the reason you want to break a front line with only a handful of your light tanks so the others get no speed reduction when taking the tile if you're trying to snake.

Managed to actually survive and just clicked the button. Now Italy is justifying on me. I could join the axis but I did want to get the Albania achievement… any idea if Italy will call in Germany if they declare on me? Could maybe take Italy but no shot at both.

Idk if it's mentioned on the stream, but you get commie china's tree because you are also commie. If you flip ideology like brownshirts, you would get nationalist china's tree.
