You can never say enough good things about Mama's, they are all true........the Creme Brulee is to DIE for!!!! The real gem is Upcountry, the drive, the view, the whole experience is why you go to Maui....its just awesome!!

We ate at Mama's Fish House two weeks ago. It is worth every penny!! The food and atmosphere is absolutely AMAZING! Can't wait to go back!

Took your recommendation and stopped at South Maui Garden for lunch. It was so cool walking through the landscape business and finding yummy food. Had açaí smoothie, coconut shrimp and ribeye sandwich.

Thanks guys. We love Maui food groove! We loved Mama's Fish House when we were there and it truly was picture perfect and the food was amazing. I think I told my wife I loved her at least 10 times, while we enjoyed MFH. One favorable mention that we didn't see on this particular clip was Star Noodle, just north of Lahaina town, on Front st. I don't know if you ever have eaten there but it is amazing. Wonderful food and service. Always crowded but we went in early lunch, around 11am, or early dinner, around 4 or 4:30 with no problem. Keep up the great videos; I always look for notifications from you guys! Aloha and Mahalo.

Thanks for sharing! Star Noodle is a great one to visit. We miss Aloha Mixed Plate which they closed during COVID to move Star Noodle but Star Noodle is a gem.

Love your videos ... Especially the "stay-cation" one in Napili. We stayed there at Napili Sunset Beach Front ... It was absolutely amazing! I don't think we'll stay anywhere else. Every room has a full beach view, not just peeks if you lean around the wall. Anyways ... watching your videos makes us want to go back ... for good, lol! We went to Kohola Brewing a couple times while we were there. By far our favorite brewery between Maui and Oahu. Now if they'd only ship to the mainland or at least offer mail order, lol. Keep putting out the great videos! Mahalo!

The Napili beachfront hotels and vacation rentals are classics. Thanks for the tip. We love Kohola for the beer and atmosphere. Talk Story is my favorite beer. Yes, they need to ship to the mainland. Maybe their new owners will expand the distribution.

Great job on all your videos.... My wife and I are going mid Sept. But this time instead of staying in Kaanapali, where have stay at least a couple of dozen times, we are staying in Kihei ... this video was perfect because we have seldom ventured there during our visits. BTW I'll take Mama's Fish House over Merrimans any day of the week. Don't bet me wrong, Merriman's has awesome food, But the scenery can't be beat. keep up the great videos and ... This was great! I'd love a similar best "food experience" for the other islands too. Most of what's out there (except for Honolulu) is "We hit this food truck and it was great" kind of thing. Which is fine, but I'd like to know about places to eat that are the whole package, like in this video.

Hi Guys love your channel... My wife and I are heading to Waikiki this week. We scheduled a flight to Maui for a day trip, would you recommend road trip to Hana or the westside of the island? It will be a full day 8am - 8pm . We are staying at a resort in Waikiki so I thought it would be better to see more of the rain forest and waterfalls. thank you for your help. Shawn

We went to Mama's Fish House for our anniversary one year and didn't find it worth the money. Tiny food on a big dish. Plus there were tons of little black sand flies getting into our food. In that area, we prefer Paia Fish Market. Big slabs of fish, 2 large prawns, salad, fries-what more could anyone want?

Most likely but it will be hard as many restaurants don't advertise those restrictions. Our maui itineraries list vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free restaurants by area of the island.

Here in Toronto Ontario Canada they are very strict I wouldn't drive even after having just one alcoholic beverage. I am not a drinker but wanted to ask.

Mama's Fish House os so in love with themselves about how good the food is - and it IS, but they don't pay their highly trained kitchen staff properly, that's why all those people leave and start their own business. The only guy paid (besides the owners) is the exec chef. Bonuses' for keeping his staff budget as scant as possible. Front of the house makes it on tips- kitchen crew don't have access to customer tips. It's sadly a dictatorship. Great food though, and a really nice front of the house and gorgeous dining experience; ignore the slavery. Mama's tried to recruite me, and I said no. So no, I am not a disgruntled ex-employee, I believe hard working people should be paid, and getting the "honor " of working in Mama's kitchen does not pay the rent. My resumé is flashy enough without Mama's footprint.

Ono tacos in Lahaina is trash. Save your money. Threw away 100 dollars of it away in front of owner. Ripping customers off. Buy at your own risk ⚠️ 808 antohitos much better tacos, just down the street in the parking lot of cannery mall-Safeway / cvs
