We are American content creators much like you guys but we spend most of our vacation time in Guadalajara. We just booked our first trip to CDMX for Dia de Muertos in a couple weeks and we are so excited! Subbed and watching ALL your videos. We’re in CDMX for a week (10/28 - 11/4 )and then we’re heading back to GDL. Got any must see experiences for us?
@EatBailaTravel3 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you for watching our content we will check yours out too. CDMX has so much but off the top of our head don’t miss the Zocalo, Chapultepec, museo de Anthropologia, Coyoacán, and eat lots of tacos!

This was actually in November back when we both still had jobs and weren’t so worried about money. But this was a super affordable experience considering it was shared costs with friends.

I love that you asked 🙂 both words, elote & axolote, are originally Nahuatl words (elotl & axolotl), one of Mexico’s indigenous languages. That’s why they sound similar

Happy birthday Kevin pleased you had a great day. Yes I remember that one with the Country Collectors & in the end the police came & sided with them fortunately, as it could of been a lot worse. They tried scamming them charging for drinks etc they didn't have on the boat if I remember correctly. One of the vendor/boat guys also attacked their friend forcibly pushing him. On the way their cab driver stopped where she had friends & they said it was closed & pointed them to a different location too.
@EatBailaTravel Жыл бұрын
Yikes! Yes, that’s right, I do remember seeing the video where they talked about that. It’s unfortunate that there are people who try to scam like that 😕

Catching up to comments with my coffee this morning ☕️😊 Fly into Mexico City, as I’m sure you already know. Then you can request an Uber or Didi to Embarcadero Nativitas.

Thanks for the tips! Is that how they pronounce Axolotl there? Like Ajo-lo-te. I’ve been pronouncing it as A-sho-lotL. With the SH sound for X and the typical TL pronunciation in Nahuatl?
@EatBailaTravel Жыл бұрын
🤭you’re probably right! We’ve heard it pronounced ajo-lo-te more often so that’s what we’ve been saying but just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s “correct”. It’s a Spanish pronunciation of the Nahuatl word.

Yes of course! Just let your trajinera captain know that you want mariachi to play for you and he will help bring them over to you when you inevitably pass them in the water

🫂 saludos
