Another great topic. I must say that my family has been very supportive of this hobby. They've especially appreciated the art and skill it takes to form a piece of clay, and then have an artist paint it, bringing it to life….so to speak. My late mother and father were always intrigued and fascinated just by the realism of these works of art. It truly does add even more joy to the hobby when others ‘get it’. Love those pearls and you wear them well. 🩷

Ok so.. I would say 99% of the time the doll (and bear) hobby is my happy place and I will defend it robustly! There is always that sneaky little 1% vulnerability though.. I can be blindsided… it can be “that I collect dolls” or it can be that I “spend money” or it can be that I “prioritise my time” as always, I quickly remember those closest to me wish me well, those not close … don’t actually matter 🤣😍😍

This was a fabulous video, I tend to keep my hobby private but as i've gotten older and been collecting for almost a decade now I have started to care less and less about others opinions and possible critiques. My hobby is my peace and I will not let anyone else ruin it for me 😊. I hope all is well with you, I absolutely adore your hair in todays video btw!

U explained it so well I have never taken my doll out or if I have I've left it her in the car but another of ppl that I have talked to know that iam a collector of reborns alot of ppl r like very good about it and love it I don't think I have had anybody rotten but iam the type of person if they r rotten I brush it off I've always been like that before I became a collector it's like stand in line iam hated more then loved lol I stand up for what I believe in or what makes me happy reborn dolls make me happy I love ur videos so keep putting them out and we all love Monroe beautiful just beautiful life to short to not enjoy what u love ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

We truly can’t control what others say or do. I always live and let live. I pretty much keep my hobby and personal life separate. I haven’t really had to deal with it. Now in the doll world it’s different, recently people come to me saying others are tearing my doll apart, sharing pictures. It’s a big hobby but when we have been in it for so long, we know lots of people. Does it bother me? Absolutely not. I’m too old to care what anyone thinks of my dolls or me for that matter. The only one it should matter to is me and my hubby that pays for my hobby. Talking about people or what others have, is human nature . This hobby brings me joy and I honestly dont care what anyone else does, says or thinks about.

The last couple of months I have had some personal issues and have had the hobby questioned, I am so tempted to get a tattoo of 2 words Let Them. My attitude is let them talk about you I’m happy we have one shot of life and I will enjoy my dolls. So I’m on the same wave length as you just basically Let Them xxx
