@librarylady15 That's fine and great, but... well... this isn't a simple enemy that anyone can fight. Sometimes... sometimes, you can't be the hero. You may not have the tools, or the know-how... and Deadpool here sure as hell didn't have them, so he chose to turn her over to someone with the tools and know-how. I used to believe such black and white things. I cannot save everyone, and it'd be a fool's errand to try. That being said, I would gladly throw my life down for another, but not at the expense of multiple others. It's harsh, but you'll come to know it soon enough, I suppose.

You don't have to be a hero to be a good person. Deadpool overtime has become one of most layered and 3 dimensional charcters in marvel comics. He was a villain, he became a anti-hero, in moments like these he's a hero. But above all else he's human, more human than most in marvel. Most of us flutuate in these roles in our lives, and Deadpool is the perfect embodiment of that trope.

Yeah, they both have their ways. Superman was dying due to a terminal disease, and he helped a lady. In another issue, he helps another woman. Also, Lucifer (derived from Dark Horse who got his own show), didn't try to prevent a man from committing suicide, but the man came to the conclusion that the worst part might have just passed.

Plus, listen to the name of the building. PARKER Industries. He knew if she took him up on that offer, Spider-Man'd be able to save her or talk her down better. He had a backup plan because he's not as crazy as he wants us to think. He smiles because he can't live with the alternative. He smiles because he knows what happens when you stop. He's gotten that low himself. And has done it successfully too, in a sense. And THAT'S why he's my favorite. Not his humor, but the reason he has it. Because laughing and smiling to hide clinical depression is a tune we can all dance to

Yeah that's the thing about Deadpool. He's hopelessly insane because of the all mad experiments, but he still has a sense of good in his scrambled brain. Like when he abandoned a job when it involved evicting an old lady who was kind to him and offered him soup. I personally think that deep down, Deadpool knows his own life is a cruel joke and his near inability to die because of his healing factor torments him. His insanity almost feels like a coping mechanism to me. He will kill, but only if they get on his bad side; he still has a soft spot for innocent life.

Female Nasus while I agree with you on this comment in general I don't agree with the insane bit, he's more sane than anyone, he knows the truth, he knows that he is a character and not a real person, that's why he acts like that, because why not if he's fake.

Owen Taylor The problem is that his own insanity and inability to keep his thoughts straight makes that knowledge pointless. If anything, it drove him more insane. Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe was basically what happens when his mind is focused on the truth of his fictional existence; he kills everyone and Xavier (one of the strongest minds in the world) completely breaks and becomes a vegetable when he reads Deadpool's mind and finds out the truth. His near inability to die makes him a horrifying enemy to fight, if not for the fact he has some sense of good and the fact he can't think straight, he would be unbeatable. Of course, that's what stuff like the Negative Zone is for.

Deadpool tries to make the girl jump on the parker industries because that's where Peter Parker lives (parker, parker, see the connection?) He knows he is not the best person to deal with this situation, so he tries to lead her in a place where Parker will find her, this neighbourly hero, that has both the brains and the looks of someone that is just- always there to help you, to be your friend, to aid you. Deadpool really looks up to Spiderman, and admitting that you just aren't cut to help, stepping out, letting other people that are more capable handle this sort of scenario (like what happened at the end of the video) is something really thoughtful, and even brave. Sometimes you just gotta recognize when to throw the towel, for the sake of others. Edit: So when I wrote this comment I was both A Baby and I barely knew English at the time, so hopefully this is better explained now lmao.

Wait yeah since when does Deadpool hate Spider-Man? XD I thought it was the other way around
Deadpool loves Spider-Man, Spider-Man tolerates Deadpool. Deadpool hated Peter Parker, for a little bit when he was convinced Peter ran a sludge spewing company (or something like that) and tried (and succeeded) to kill Peter only to revive him when he didn't see Peter in Hell. Peter, again, tolerates Deadpool. Deadpool doesn't know Peter and Spider-Man are one in the same. Deadpool knows Peter makes tech for Spider-Man and probably assumed Spidey would show up to help the girl and that Spidey was *way* better at that kind of thing than he is.

I love this so much. The voice acting has so much fucking conviction and it fits everything so well. Plus the comic itself wonderfully illustrates Deadpool at his most vulnerable; he KNOWS that he alone is not capable of helping her. So what does he do? Takes her to see a play, and then takes her to people who CAN help because they’re experts. And honestly I think that’s one of the great things about Deadpool. He’s insane, he’s amoral at points, and he can be a dick, but deep down he doesn’t like to see people suffer that don’t deserve it.

the thing about dead pool, the main reason his insane is that he is complety aware that hes not only in a comic book but he is also aware of the nature of the beast in that regard and that he has no control he only dose things become well its a comic book and the wrighters and artes have him do those things. so dead pool has made its his mission to make everyone's lives around him better. weather offering himself up to be mocked and belitted of offering a helping hand. the thing is, Deadpool is a nice guy he wants to be a hero more than anything but hes aware that because of his own poplulaity he will never be more than a murderous anit hero that make forth wall braking jokes. I belive a wise dragon from a video game once said. "What is better to be born good, or over come evil nature though great effort"
@cupid9937 жыл бұрын
You clearly don't know enough about him. He's insane and he knows, controls, and embraces it. He's a rape victim, he's an abusive victim, he's tried to commit suicide. Just because he's a jokester doesn't mean he's insensitive

Definitely still one of my favourite deadpool stories. Personally I think my favourite stories for him are the ones not afraid to be serious. It’s easy to just make a full on comedy story with deadpool but ones like this that mix in comedy with the emotional serious stuff is always so much better to me. Weirdly I kinda want a suicide jumper story for everyone superhero. Just to see how each would deal with such a delicate situation. I recall a superman story where during his day he comes across a similar situation and it’s just like one or two panels of superman hugging the person which is just so superman in the same way this is just so deadpool.

The sad part is there's no one like this in real life. Everyone I've reached out to either ghosted me, laughed in my face, told me to do it, or tried to get me to buy a bunch of books and talked through every session and didn't let me get a word in (last one being the last therapist I talked to). Sometimes you just can't dig your way out, sometimes there's too many regrets and all the opportunities are long past, and sometimes there's no way out except *that* way. And unfortunately that's my case. These books like this and All-Star Superman still help me to feel a little better at times but it's all just temporary because there is no Superman or Deadpool to take your worries away. Life just isn't that simple.
@lovellash3 күн бұрын

@agiar20007 жыл бұрын
One of my favorite pieces of advice for someone considering doing something drastic with permanent consequences: Put it off. Procrastinate. Procrastination is the easiest thing in the world! The consequences of the action you might be considering are _quite_ permanent, so there is no rush. You can get around to it later, so, why not try something else in the meantime? Like, maybe see a show, and then see how you feel. Sometimes, it is easier to convince someone to do something else than to convince them that their life is worth living, and sometimes doing something else and having time to let one's mind focus on the here and now rather than the painful past or hopeless future can be sufficient to actually reduce those feelings of hopelessness and despair.

In a way, Deadpool seemed almost better than the usual superheroes we see because Batman or Superman or any other would pick up that girl and carry her to the ground, maybe give a lecture about “how precious life is,” but Deadpool, he saved that girl’s life in the long term, she probably won’t try to jump again and it’s because of Deadpool. This is why I love “heroes” like Deadpool!

Batman tried to kill himself when he was 10 years old. He'd relate perfectly. Batman also wouldn't make jokes about suicide to a suicidal person (because that fucked up). They'd obvioysly rescue them (because that's what normal, good people do.) They wouldn't gamble with someone's life like that. Dont ever compare deadpool to batman and superman again u dont know shit.

Sometimes, Superheroes doesn't have a costume, they don't fly, they're not super strong, they don't ask for chimichangas, sometimes they can be the next door guy, or the most normal of all the human kind, if you need someone they might have the most strong super power in the world, super power that sometimes we forget for no reason, this super power is Love.
