This interview was so perfect and much needed. There is a Tv show that used to be on called Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and there was an episode early on where “Dr. Quinn” received all kinds of books from her fathers library after he died and she decided that she’d start a library in the town. The towns people though saw books that were poetry and novels about sex and they didn’t agree that it needed to be in the library. Long story short, the town burned all of the books and as she sat and looked through the books, she found the Holy Bible burned up and wet. She walks into the church congregation and states, “I have a book here that talks about a prostitute, etc.” and they said yes we need to burn that book and when she hands it to the pastor he realizes that it was the Holy Bible. Obviously this is a Tv show, but it’s so real in our culture today of how people view certain things in movies and books.

LOVED this interview! Loved hearing the heart behind the writing of the novel and the intentionality of depicting God's redemptive love as portrayed in the movie "Redeeming Love."

What I find beautiful is God’s timing. Every time I listen to this podcast it ties into my current life so often and I just praise God for His timing. I just watched the movie for the first time (not having read the book before) two days ago and having Sadie interview the author of the book on this weeks new episode, idk just feels like God wanted me to hear this story. This movie hit me so hard because I connect with this book in my own way but to me the timing of having seen the movie and then this new podcast episode features the author. I think it means something. I needed a redeemed love.

oh this is so timely! i just finished the book 2 days ago & sobbed uncontrollably! i agree 10000% that this made God & His love soooo real for me. of course i knew because of the Bible, but this painted another beautiful picture of it. & honestly, the talk of intimacy & sex in the book was one of my favorite things. it was all told so beautifully & truly changed my life. i was raised learning that it was dirty, & it was so hard when i was first married. this is the first time i've ever read about it being beautiful & a gift & blessed by God. michael being an allegory for Christ was just so incredible. i understand how it may lead some astray if people don't see that, & have that unrealistic expectation for their spouse, but that's also the responsibility of the reader to know the difference between fact & fiction. redeeming love has inspired me so much to pray for my husband!! thank you so much for this interview 🖤

Why do you think university is a great place to learn ? Most folks that comes out of university especially in America are so much in debt , it takes them years to pay back . And also have 3 jobs, in order to pay the loans etc.
