I love that you braid the girls hair. As someone who's been braiding hair for a long time I'd like to give some helpful tips (if you don't do them already)... 1. Trim the ends as you go. This way the hair will grow better when the split ends are gone. 2. Blow drying or braiding their hair in big individual braids while its wet, helps stretch the hair so it's easier to braid 3. Deep condition the hair prior to and after braiding, helps keep the hair moisturized and less breakage Keep up the good work Sarah!

Yes! You absolutely can harvest maple Syrup in Nebraska. Make sure they are sugar maples or it won’t be worth it. If the temp drops below 32 degrees Fahrenheit at night and over 40 degrees Fahrenheit during the day the sap will flow in the early spring if you’ve had a winter. Now would be a good time to go through the woods with a book or a friend who knows trees and mark you maples with a ribbon.

@@stacilott2694 oh it is definitely work but so worth the learning and the small amount of syrup it provides. My husband and I both grew up sugaring but those are the memories I’ll never forget. We live in Arkansas now and found about ten sugar maples on our property, it’s supposed to be a long cold winter so I’m hoping we can have even a little success with it. I also like buying my syrup from Azure by the gallon especially when it’s on sale like right now.

Just know that it takes 40 gallons of maple sap to make 1 gallon of maple syrup and yes that is why good maple syrup is so expensive. You have to decide if it’s worth it.
