Huge vote of confidence for the Gazelle T-4 Overland Edition. I've been out with mine on more trips than I can count and it's been amazing. Sets up and breaks down in less than 5 mins. 2 doors, great ventilation, excellent in rain, and when it's dry, leave the fly off and sleep under the stars. It's a luxury field apartment for one, and reasonably-sized for two people. For under $500 you can't go wrong. With the back seat in my JL folded down it *just* fits. Downside: they're not blackout. STRONGLY recommended!

Gazelle's tent all the way. I have a T4 and Love it. Very robust, excellent quality. (no broken handles) It's easy to setup, big windows all around, doors on each side, extra fly that doesn't touch the tent itself. All around great tent. It doesn't fit across the jeep, but inside from front to back or on roof rack. Plus you can stand up inside easily at 78" tall. I also have an RTT, but often use the Gazelle's for family/friends that join us. If I would get another one, it would probably be the T4 Tandem with extra screened/privacy room. Plus it's substantially less expensive then Shift Pod.

Nice! I'm actually switching to a canvas tent and wood stove for the winter!

Great review. The shift pod is basically a ice fishing tent. The other options are the tent cot style tent and the hammock tents which are suppose to be super comfortable. I have always used a roof top tent but if I was to start again I would defiantly try a tent cot.

Great video, the green tent good for people that get out once a year or two, your space tent is like a ice fishing tent, heavy snow or wind the roof could pop inward. As for inflatables it would have to be drop stitch made even then I would be worried about holes. I just dont get rid of my old tents some I've had for 20 yrs. Happy I've got a RTT but always have a spare 2 p tent in the Jeep!

I feel like the roof top tent has ruined me to ground tents. Lol.

I don’t get the rooftop tent thing either. It’s just more expensive. They are either small or you get soaked setting them up and taking them down in the rain. Folding a wet tent up with your bedding in it isn’t effective either. Can’t stand up to get changed

@@Scoobienorth Iv stayed 100s of nights in a roof tent top and it’s a great way to travel and explore.

@@leemen I did 2 trips and sold mine. I disagree. It’s nice to be off the ground. Great for 1 person in decent weather.

I like my Gazelle. Use a T3 and a cot so off the ground. Heading to AZ on Saturday morning and will camp through Moab for sure!!

I bought a Gazelle T4, it's the perfect size for me..6'4" and my German Shepherd travel companion. Main reason why I won't have a RTT is my dog.. I've always said you get what you pay for... buy once cry once.

Your 1st pop up tent can be quite resistant to wind gusts if well anchored. But I rather not have one.

How about just a normal tent? All of these suck.

I enjoy your videos. But frankly, none of these are very reliable, well-designed tents.
