I actually have a super easy way to avoid this problem: If I'm in any way feeling insecure enough about a guy that I'd even be tempted to do this: I DON'T sleep with him! Or sleep over with him or any permutation thereof, until I'm feeling secure that he's hooked (aka invested) to the degree that *i've* decided I need to feel good. LADIES! If you're not sure that's he's super into you--if you're not sure he's even gonna want to SEE you again--why are you giving him the cookie?? Don't give him the cookie till you're happy with the situation, whatever that might be for you.

I wear the same lotion each time we have a date. It's a bit strong, so I just dab a little after moisturizing with a non-scented lotion. BUT if you're feeling a little manipulative, choose a fragrance he/she could smell anywhere (maybe peppermint or citrus - basic scents). Olfactory sense is heavily tied to memory. He/she will be grocery-shopping then walk past oranges (or whatever scent) without noticing and suddenly think of you.

Honestly i think i would never leave something behind after the first night at his place, but seriously if i did, and i realised that made him uncomfortable, i think it would be worth it. Who wants to get further in a relationship with a guy who's feeling forced to call you and see you again because you left something behind?? Hope this makes sense, english is not my first language. xx

You have changed so much. This line of work has definitely proven beneficial for you on many levels. It’s so cool to get to see how much you’ve matured and your message has only gotten stronger with more time. I think you should revamp and 2.0 this video and combine what not to leave and when to start having a reason to be concerned if you should be leaving something or not and what it should be… when to leave the toothbrush and when to have a need to carry your toothbrush with you and what kind of toothbrush that nest conveys who you truly are in the form of a toothbrush and how to not be too obstructive or confrontational with a possibly politically loaded choice of toothpaste… or to just get it over and done with about the fluoride issue the moment the toothbrush enters the scene and didn’t hang back until you got home…

I've had this happen to me and it totally worked. Just saying. I'm really awkward in the early stages of dating and it was a nice excuse to segue into the sober daylight phase of courtship. I might not have called her out of my own fear of rejection and awkwardness, but leaving the item let me know she wanted to see me again. They were gloves, so there's no way it wasn't intentional. Even if you really forget that at first, you remember as soon as you step outside and open the frozen car door with your bare hands, right?
@lorrilewis21788 жыл бұрын
Or, here's a thought. Maybe don't put yourself in the situation of sleeping with a man when you have no idea how he feels about you because you haven't discussed it yet. I think women should STOP sleeping with men on dates. Don’t have sex until he’s expressed a desire to commit or date you exclusively. All this heart ache and uncertainty in the dating world is because men are trying to milk as many cows as they can these days via Tinder, Match, Bumble, etc. The sexual revolution has backfired on women... it was pushed by a generation who now require commercials for Hep-C. The people who pushed for free love in the 60s pushed all the boundaries of family ties and sexual interaction. What happened was a continual movement toward more sex before marriage... that’s not necessarily a bad thing, BUT it has eroded ideas of commitment to the point that it’s now NORMAL to have sexual on a first date. Some women might feel that that’s all they want, perhaps that’s true for a few. But MOST women are looking for a relationship and commitment or at least exclusivity. Otherwise, no one would care what Matthew is saying. Men are never slut-shamed, but women are. The more relationship “benefits” men get without commitment the less they feel they can or should ever commit to any one woman.

I was the exact opposite - After dating someone for six months he told me I could leave something there, ex shampoo. He even purchased hangers for me to use. Instead of leaving anything I made sure I almost always removed everything. I think it was a control thing for me. It was my protective mechanism I had put in place. After almost two years the relationship ended. For many reasons I was never able to commit my life to him - and not all my issues. I believe deep down I knew I could never be with him a lifetime so it was how I protected myself. You once explained this as attention vs intervention. That really resonated with me. He had intentions (as he did with everyone he dated) and I had attention because I never trusted his feeling were any different towards me than any other woman.

Ok Matthew Hussey I am a girl scout and whilst I appreciate the advice I do not appreciate the hate lol. The feeling is not mutual I love you anyway. Thank you for supporting Girl Scouts even though you hate us lol I helped my daughter sell over 2000 of those cookies and most were probably thin mints..any who.. thanks again

I have been with one of my boyfriends (yes plural... that's another story for another time) for a year and I STILL don't leave things there. I think you are right, obligations are not as positive as memory. Also, if he lives alone and everything in his house is his and his alone... it almost might make them feel like they have this out of place burden if you leave your stuff there. If you are further into your relationship, ASK HIM if he wouldn't mind you leaving a toothbrush, hair brush or shampoo or something there... don't just assume it is ok. He isn't going to be considerate of your feelings and wishes if you aren't of his. Think before you do.

It’s crazy to worry about this many details lol I think being secure and happy with who you are is the only key you need to find someone who you really vibe with & until then know what’s not good for you and shut them down!

lol idk about this guy I am reading the description on this video and It's all about how you make HIM happy. no girl is going around telling men how to make a girl not scared or how to make a girl be with you forever. never see anyone tell a guy not to leave stuff at a girl's place. it's so disturbing to me that this guy is telling women how to act to be accepted by men. I think whatever you feel like doing you should do and if it doesn't work out then this isn't your guy. no one stays single forever, he will never tell you that cause it will put him out of business. but ladies don't worry about pleasing men. please yourselves and you're gonna find someone who likes you for who you are flaws and all and love you and want you to better yourself cause YOU want to not cause you want to "keep him forever." Just sayin................

i understand your point, but I think you should watch others videos and you'll find out that matthew doesn't just teach women how to attract men, he actually teaches you how to become a confident woman who feels good in her skin cause ultimately that's what draws people (not only men) to you

mosse matters There are actually many videos from other people who teach human dynamics, who deal with men who are having difficultly with women. Go have a look on youtube.

mosse matters It's true. With my boyfriend I am 100 percent myself, it's the first time I've ever felt like I can be like that with a guy, he says it's the first time he feels he can be himself with a woman also. We love each other so deeply and we don't play games about it. We're in the best relationship either of us have ever had and that is because it is natural and not forced.
@justjosie89639 жыл бұрын
mosse matters well, that's kind of what he is teaching woman, if you listen to enough of his videos. Like this one, in so many words. woman, don't be desperate, be confident.

U know what? U look gorgeous no matter what. Cause u have a lovely soul 💖 and u still pretty outside even if ur hands are not tanned! For me ur hands are not tanned means u were busy doing activities and enjoying life 💖 not only that but your eyes caught my attention more than your not tanned hands. I think who commented on that is empty minded.

I love this video! Really made me laugh. I did have the opposite. A guy came to my place and left his jacket in the morning. We didn't keep dating, so it was a bit awkward when he came to get his jacket. So I completely understand how guys feel when this happens. :D

Haha one time I couldn't find something and after like an hour I gave up and said "never mind I'll just go." The guy I had a one night stand with asked "what do I do when I find it?" and I said "just throw it away." The look on his face suggests that he's never heard a girl say that before. I found it in the end just as I was about to leave, but I digress. Funny how it would seem like a smart idea to suggest meeting up again just to return the item but I've always felt like you're tricking him into seeing you again and you don't want to trick a guy into doing that ever.

Adela Setara You are on an advice channel. People will post advice. If you don't like it, just ignore it or respond to it constructively. We are not here to sugarcoat things. And, by the way, you did not hold back from criticizing Jazmin for "girl shaming", whatever that means... So you are hypocritical. Here, I just "girl shamed" you.

***** I think he's talking about in a situation really early on for girls women who come over pretty early on. I'm kind of old fashioned myself so wouldn't be staying over right away--but some women do. I know a girl who will sleep with guys very quickly and leave stuff "accidentally", but it's not really accidentally. I think that's the kind of girl this is aimed at. The ones who do it out of fear of losing a guy, not the girls who are being playful after something is pretty established with the guy.

I left a nice dress in a guy's place once. I didn't want to see him again because he didn't even offer to make me breakfast in the morning. It wasn't on purpose and it sucked... he kept trying to see me again to return it or get my address to mail it. Nope... total loss of my nice dress. It's not always done on purpose.
