Can i ask you sir ammm i had this ex we meet through online dating, then we broke up for some reason he ended our relationship, then i got no message or news from him months passed then he text me then that's all, i text him back then he didn't reply so i stop. Then another month's a he's back texting then just share video then he stop again then its like every year he message me twice or 3x like im confused, then he's back finding me in my fb account since decided to stop contacting him i deleted my whats up, and change my number then just last month he reached out, giving me greetings to my fb account. Communication is the foundation of a relationship. If the guy is going through something - if he is serious, he will communicate that to you and at that point you can give him space if necessary. But if you are talking to / dating someone and they just stop communicating - take that as a sign from the universe that it is time for you to move on. In my experience 9/10 if a man goes days, a week or longer without communicating (especially if the woman was the last person to communicate), he is either not interested, not available or both. It’s not that hard to at minimum send a text or respond to a text every day or two. Once you’ve gotten to the stage that mutual interest has been expressed, falling away is never a good sign. We can communicate to our bosses when we need time off. It shouldn’t be that hard to tell someone you are truly interested in that you have a busy week coming up and may not have much spare time for a period of time. It’s basic accountability.

Wow I needed to hear this, I’m literally experiencing this right now where everything was going good and he ghosted me basically. He finally reached out to apologize and informed me that he has been having a tough time with someone passing in his family and he didn’t know how to communicate how he was feeling so he shut down. At first my reaction was to cut him off especially since I was calling & texting with no response but then something was telling me to give him time and grace so I didn’t block him because he never gave me a reason to think he wasn’t serious about me. Going forward I’m being understanding in that he is going thru something but I did express to him that I needed him to work on communicating with me so that we can have healthy ways for dealing with hard times because they are going to continue to happen regardless and we’re going to see how it goes.

Very good advice, thanks. When there's mutual interest, it's not "running after" women gotta stop shaming other women about this. Some guys also just can't focus on more than one thing at a time, especially with a highly stressful job. Some guys just send "hi" all the time, it takes one second but not much thought. I do agree with you that the guy should always make a good effort to initiate messages and calls at the beginning of the relationship. After they've made a good amount of "investment" I think it's ok for us women to give them a little leeway, especially if they are dedicated to us and maybe it was just a stressful day at work.. some guys really have trouble doing two things at the same time 🥹

I was talking to this guy for almost 3 months. We didn’t have the opportunity to meet in person yet, because of various reasons. He asked me out on a date and even set the second date. He was on vacation and I had come back already. 2 days after he came back from vacation we were supposed to meet. We were even still texting the day before. I didn’t hear from him the day off and so I send him a text that we were supposed to meet but I didn’t hear from him and asked him if he was okay. We had set a date but didn’t pointed out a spot or anything. He responded 2 days later saying he got sick and that we could plan another date. I told him that I would’ve liked that he would’ve just told me, cause now I felt he ghosted me and I thanked him for his message. 2 days later he still hadn’t respond to my last text and then I blocked him. He didn’t even apologize nothing. Just was so nonchalant about it. Everything was good before that and before he got back from vacation so I don’t understand what changed. But I have peace with it!

I really love my crush to the extent I open up and told him. We are separated by distance and all he told is he will come see me and we'll discuss that I shouldn't put in emotions cus it's a long distance thing. We rarely chat but when we do it's like we chat on daily bases. I just wish he should be the man God has for me but if he isn't is okay. 9 years is a red flag already. I'm convinced that if he genuinely cared he would have created time for you within the first Year of knowing each other. In this era if it goes beyond three to six months without actualizing a meeting then it's a scum. Number one,the guy is married and has a family and number two, he's only chatting with you out of courtesy coz he imagines you're desperate for him. Wake up siz,run before it's too late 😢😢😢

This happened to me and he did lose his phone. I sent him a post card saying I hope all is well and left my phone number. He called me and told me he lost his phone and gave me his work number to reach him tell he got his phone back.

I had both men and women, ghost me for weeks to months or even close to a year. They gave me ridiculous excuses or had legitimate reasons for not reaching out but couldn't just say it before they fell off. They end up not being interested and I don't hear from them again anyway. Then I also find out more information they fail to let me know, like for example soon to be married or in a relationship or they're true intentions come out. Where Im basically a third in the relationship or something casual. So I don't agree with just immediately ghosting someone. If you have legitimate interest in the person and you have a legitimate reason for you stepping away for a little while I feel like you just should be upfront about it than just assuming it's okay for you to just not say anything and then I'm reaching out to you. It's messed up and if I did that to any of them, then I'm immature or I'm the problem. I'm usually the one bringing up the issues and trying to come up with a solution I just get dismissed, disregard, they deflect they're quilt or they don't take any accountability or even realize they screw up and don't know how to make it betetr. And I'm just supposed to be okay and just move on like nothing happened. So I disagree, depends on the situation and the person you're dealing with. I'm trying to heal and be single. If it's meant for me to be with someone in the future, great! If not I have to be okay that a relationship isn't meant for me. ❤

There's an older man that still texts me I told him that I'm single but he never told me what he wants from me he only tell me what he wanted but the point is that when I do become involved in a relationship I'm going to tell him you cannot text me anymore and cuz I said we were friends but we're not friends because friends explain ourselves and he's taking advantage of the situation and I'm showing how disrespectful he is in our so-called relationship

What do you do though if you’ve explained what you think or feel about the situation and the way he stops communicating is drastic but his communication has been poor from the beginning but has now gone to no communication but he’s read previous messages but he’s already explained previously what the situation is. I’m in the same situation. He went 6 days no communication, I gave him a second chance and we agreed to communicate more effectively (48 hours spaces max). I heard from him last on Monday after he promised to send pictures from his vacation, I’m moving on. I can’t keep telling a grown man how to treat me, it hurts me but I know that if he actually liked me, he’s have done better for our relationship.

What about my case? We had no problem at all and texting each others as other normal days, but all of sudden, next day, he stopped messaging me although he know I always waiting for him to get home and messaging me before go to bed. I’ve also texted him first time to times .. Therefore, he is doing this intentionally so I didn’t text him either this time, and it’s been 2 weeks I haven’t heard from him. My male friend advices I shouldn’t initiate and it’s all done. Ugh.. yea.. it’s been 2 weeks. Is it really done? what do you think?

I just did this to a guy I was in a relationship with . Previously expressed communication which was poor , he agreed to change. Days later he stopped texting for 2 days(it got worse), I addressed how I felt which was “ I don’t feel secure in this relationship w/ this lack of communication “ & he responded w “ok” & he “didn’t want to argue” 😑
