i was hoping for a dreadnought too. But i have a feeling that a new flagship would be released at the very end and currently, the khitomer is the flagship. I think we'll have a science vessel and then a dreadnought

I haven't played STO since before Discovery came out, now I'm wanting to get back in just to get this ship lol. I remember trying so hard, and eventually getting the Jem'Hadar Attack ship. My favorite ship in game was actually the Jem Dreadnought, it was so fun. I like the novelty of combining the bug ship and the defiant, now I just have to remember how to play and hope that my ancient builds will be good enough.

I will preface with I must say this looks like a lot of ships in game that have a very confused boff loadout, lt tac with cmdr on an escort? They could have dropped the ensign universal and made the lt tac an ltc. This ship doesn't know what it's trying to be when you compare it to some of the other pilot ships (though some eng/sci variants can be confused) I think the andorian t6 tac pilot ship and the klink tac pilot raptor and even the valiant fed escort seem to have a good arrangement, i use all 3 of these ships split between a few toons. The tac romulan pilot ship is another example, all have the same console/boff arrangement or loadout which can be fairly potent. Although I dislike the 5 fore/2 aft weapon arrangement since it can break set items which can be beneficial 5-3 or 4-3 or 4-4 would be nice, but either way I can still fit the consoles I want and make a build that's effective. I will state that I am by no means an expert in builds or what makes a good boff skill loadout though to me this looks confused also, what you're doing with your sci skills baffles me and you have 0 tank but that word has become dirty for a long time. Whether you are a dps chaser or not the answer I get a lot of the time is that the idea is you kill before you take damage or get killed yourself, in principle I can sort of get the logic but on the flip side I think a lot of the shield or hull heal traits require you to use an actual heal to proc, and you seem to have none. I apologise for the word wall but I will say I am not dropping this post to criticise you or dump on you for choosing this ship as your free ship showcase, I am throwing a bit of shade at cryptic because I see a lot of confused ships that have multiple purposes for ships that maybe aren't made for it or boff/console arrangements that don't make sense. At the end of the day you can arrange your ship however you like, i'm mostly saying i'm baffled by what standard you find this to be a good ship, and there are better choices. I will say as well I am old fashioned when I think of ships with specific roles.

Yes, it’s a poloron based weapon that has its fire cycling haste tied to your speed or throttle if I remember correctly.

I'm planning to do "Taken by Surprise" Episode in advance without taking the rewards so that I can claim it on day 1 and get the 2 points. If you do the same Episode on several Characters on the same account you can be ready for the 20 hour reset so that you can get that sweet bonus Dil after completing and claiming the ship.

I think it looks great and I really want it! I'm just not sure if I can go through two TFO's a day for 20 days. That seems like a real slog if they take very much time. I am not a fan of Guillotine so we'll have to see what Wolf 359 is like. I'll run the new mission once and I was not aware we could wait and turn it in another day for credit.

What I'll probably do unless something slows me down, is try to get my Romulan character set to start the first of the two episodes before the event (I'm in the Gamma Quadrant arc ATM), and do one per day. If my Romulan is ready I'll run my 25th century Fed then my Discovery Fed through the new episode the next two days then try the TFOs. If the Romulan isn't ready I'll run the Federation characters through the new episode first.

It's not cool that they halved the purrk points for TFOs, used to be 2 points (full purrgress for a day) when you did a single TFO. Which means now you need 30 minutes (for the episode or two TFOs) to complete your daily unless you wanna do the Omega mini-game, which I'm prully gunna do now as soon as I've played all new content once or twice.

It sounds like they're making it more grindy to keep players in-game for longer sessions, perhaps to convince their new publisher to continue operating the game. It's nice the devs are putting out new content but they're not interesting enough for me to replay them again. With the loss of the Foundry, I play a lot less than I did before.

@@jcstang8952 Beam overload with a torp on the front is always tempting to me but I may actually throw on some Vaaduar polaron cannons I have lying around (since it's a Jem ship and polaron being canonical). So probably a mix of those up front plus a torp, the polaron omni from the Home mission I think? That can be fired as a cannon or a beam so I'm thinking that plus a turret, or that plus I have some beefy mine launchers lying around... Oh and the polaron torpedo since I'll be boosting polaron. Cannon rapid-fire as I'm much happier with single-target powers and I have the extender trait for rapid-fire. All I know is I'll be having a lot of fun with it :)
