The fact he’s been calling for higher metals prices for 3 + years suggest his forecasting models aren’t as good as he thinks. So he guessed stocks would go higher? They been in uptrend for 40 + years.

I always enjoy listening to David Hunter and try to catch all of his interviews. His understanding of investor psychology is second to none, up top of his long experience of the markets. It does amuse me though, when he says we'll get the sort of returns in 3-6 months that would normally take 3 to 4 years to achieve. I've been listening to David and his forecast (which I agree with in principle) since mid 2022. He said the same back in 2022. Last year, in 2023, he said the top of his call would be reached by the end of 2023 to Q1 2024; now he has pushed it back (again) until Q2 possibly Q3 2024. At this rate it will still have taken 3 (maybe even 4, eventually) years to reach his predicted claims... lol. The FED have repeatedly said they aren't going to cut rates any time soon (probably at least until late 2024), so David's time frame will get pushed back again. He really does need to stop putting ANY timeframes on his predictions, since it's making him look ridiculous (which is a shame because his basis thesis is sound).

There's so many things that can go wrong this year, I just don't see how you can expect a parabolic melt-up. Wars, elections, pandemics, crazy debt. Good luck with that prediction.

It's because things are going wrong that we will see a melt up. Melt up indicates something is wrong in the system as abnormal things start occurring.

DOW and S&P were hitting all-time highs in late-2007, even as New Century, Deutsche Bank, Bear Sterns, Northern Rock, et al were clear precursors for the Great Recession.
