I have long Covid. Thanks to senior help in my area I have someone clean my house once a week. Friends helping me with laundry. Family checking on me. And the fact that I have been declutterring my space for years, build up of belongings isn’t possible, and trash gets taken out weekly. This home of spiders and trash would be my home without help. I’m so happy you can help people like you do. Even if all you did was remove trash it would be very good. You always go all the way. Be proud of your work!

Unfortunately, I can believe Long Covid was responsible for most of this. When I was most sick with it in 2021, I could not get out of bed without shaking, and I'd have to take breaks while brushing my teeth because my arms would get so tired... Fortunately, I had my partner to help me, but it was a terrifying experience. Depression is also a factor but it's so wrapped up in the overall experience of the physical illness that the two can't really be disentangled.

COVID hit me pretty hard earlier this year. I completely understand how someone's apartment could get to this stage. I was barely able to get from one room to the other and mainly ate frozen ready meals as I couldn't stand up for more than 20 seconds at a time.

I had it for 3 1/2 weeks but only close relative died during that time. Couldn't go out, ran out of food and had to order take away. Very scary. Can't imagine having it last for years. Thank you for helping her. Those older kitchen sinks are really nice - deep and with a removable cover. Very practical. It looks like a nice apartment, even with the mice.

I have bought myself a Halloween themed pyjama, for that reason 😅 There are skulls, crows, cute ghosts and a bunch of realistic (too realistic) black spiders Last time I tried it on I freaked out, but I won't give up 😅. I had an incident with daddy long legs yesterday so that could slow down the process a bit 😂

Hey Barbie, I know you dont want to kill the spiders, and I personally love spiders, but sometimes you need to just sweep them off their feet. If I find a lot of spiders like that I use my vacuum to suck them up. I have a bagless vacuum so if they survive the free ride I dump them outside all together. Spiders in the house help take care of pest bugs, but no house needs that many 8 legged guests. Using the vacuum keeps you from having to touch them while also trying to be more light hearted about disposing of them if needed. You aren't hurting them out of hate or malice, they just genuinely need to go elsewhere.
