I played the original Phoenotopia on Newgrounds and absolutely loved it! I'm glad the sequel came to Steam so people who weren't around when Newgrounds was around can experience it.

10. Played it. The game wasn't completely for me, but I'm always disappointed I didn't feel motivated to stick it out or that more people haven't played it. 9. New to me. Might check out Hardcore Mecha. 8. Played it. Not a perfect game, but extremely good. 7. Played it. Same as Timespinner. 6. Have not played Pronty, but it's always living on my wishlist. 5. Saw it on the channel once before. Disc Room intrigued me then, too. 4. New to me. Not my usual style, but I could be convinced to try it. 3. Played it. I had to bail on it for personal reasons, but Patch Quest is great. 2. I know surprisingly little about Dicey Dungeons, but I know some people adore it. 1. Seen it on the channel before. Not into HM or the art style, but it seems well done.

Timespinner was alright. It had the feel of symphony of the night feeling down to a T, but for me and a lot of complaints i saw about it, it can be jarring to figure out where to go and the treks to get anywhere are really quite long with no obtainable movement options until very deep into the game. Orb builds also aren't that intuitive since you'll likely find one you like and have an alternative for the other 2 damage types (Blunt, stab, slash) you aren't maining just for certain enemy coverage and just never change anything. For 75% off though, i'd say give it a go.

phoenotopia is a mega charming game guys. don't miss out on it if you like old school NES zelda2 style gaming. It's also very large in scope, i'm 10+ hours in and still not done. Thanks for the video as always Clemmy! ♥♥

Ye, SotN feeling was good, overall application was bad since you are taking long treks to the middle of nowhere for that one piece of map you forgot to uncover just to find out there is nothing there and you have to slowly trek back.
