Acheron dont know she traumatized Black Swan after she read her memories (If she knew she wouldn't be wanting to dance with BS again and she said Black Swan made her feel warm inside)

That animation and the current Acheron animation proved the power scaling between a mere follower of an Aeon to an Emenator of an Aeon. However large they are, or even if they are a threat to a planetary (or even intergalactic) scale, the power of Aeons and the entities basically they handpicked (Emanators) are too large to fathom. Nanook don't even care about the Gang. Idk why that idea is so funny to me. They're just like edgy teenagers trying to impress a celeb or sumthin.

I believe Acheron has a past, she simply doesn't remember. Black Swan was able to enter and see bits of it before entering too deep and nihility takes place, which is like a metaphor of a black hole like what IX looks like. To an actual real life black hole, you can get close, but get too close then you get into the event horizon where escape becomes incredibly difficult to impossible. Black Swan slightly got herself on this horizon and nearly lost herself. My thoughts only :v I probably wouldn't remember commenting this.

I love star rail for this. Combining metaphorical and philosophical concepts with humanistic properties to create aeons (or gods) is nothing new but it's done very beautifully here. IX is the final boss and everyone is just playing in their field.

The description of the video actually goes over history of what is likely Acheron's actual past: a planet (with Japanese names) where the inhabitants fought back against invading "demons" and made them into powerful weapons. We know that in a flashback, Acheron is shown with demon horns, and the colour-swapped version of her is almost definitely a "Red Oni". We also know that this planet was consumed by IX, destroying it's potential future, so I personally would like the theorize that either Acheron is two people, or she has a "self" stored within the blade.

Another interpretation of the story is the history of HI3’s world. The demons (Honkai) descended upon humanity. Humanity fought against them, forging weapons (the divine keys) to fight against the Honkai. They progressed, before eventually disappearing (fighting the Final Herrscher and losing).

That's what BS assumed at first, because that's what everybody else was on Penacony for. Acheron learned of Penacony from an invitation for Duke Inferno, so she decided to stop by. Possibly with no real purpose, and it's like having a timed bomb that can explode any second.

Because, when the Astrall Express's crew arrived in Penancony, TB doesnt have a room, since the room originally reserved for Dan Heng, even though TB also Astrall Express's crew, they could have just gave Dan Heng's room to TB... But, strangely they doesnt want to give Dan Heng's room to TB, instead they gave Aventurine's room to TB, which make it even weirder... So, if TB cant get the room because the name in invitation is different, how come Acherone get her room, the invitaation she got must have Duke Inferno's name... Thats why, I believe, everything has been planned for TB to be involved in whatever surprise Penancony have...

Awesome video as always. Here's something that might be worth considering about Acheron: she's most likely not (just) a Self-Annihilator, but a "Doctor of Chaos". It's not exactly a legitimate faction or organization, but rather a status that people attain when they resist the extreme effects of IX's shadow. Her actions definitely imply her to align with the mission of that faction. Plus, Acheron does not at all act like a simple, ordinary Self Annihilator, nor is she that weak. The description of Along the Passing Shore, Acheron's signature light cone, tells us the following about her. "...In this place, the drowned ask for help, lament with songs, find their happiness, enjoy sweet moments, and suffer great agony... All these are reflected in the water. She cannot experience these, but she can feel them - There are still many roads to walk, many sounds to listen to, and many things to change before she arrives at the end. She reaches out and saves the drowning from the temptations of Nihility, and one mirage after another bursts apart behind her figure. She keeps walking in this boundless world, all for an end that does not exist." We pretty much know for sure that Acheron has inadvertently been affected by IX in some way that is likely related to her travels with Frebass, and now there's a good reason to believe that she's become a Self-Annihilator. Frebass likely became a Self-Annihilator in her final moments too, and there's cause to believe that Acheron liberated her by ending her misery at that moment. My point: Doctors of Chaos are essentially Self Annihilators who, instead of becoming dejected and hollow upon having IX's shadow or gaze cast over them, became fascinated with it and turned into "Doctors" that want to cure or liberate other Self-Annihilators and even IX itself from Nihility before they meet their own ultimate end in the process. In a way, they're the anti-thesis to Nihility while being Emanators of it at the same time. "Doctors of Chaos uphold a creed of saving the world: If they are able to prove to IX that existence is more than nothing, they could free that large and lonely soul from the depths of the void. What they try to prove is a paradox, and it cannot be done by mortals, yet the Doctors of Chaos seem to enjoy trying - Because the moment they perceived the worthlessness of life, that glance from the distant cosmos inspired within them a futile desire to revolt against meaningless destiny."

I think it's symbolic that at the end of the dance, Acheron is holding Black Swan up off the floor, having "caught" her at the end of a highly dynamic dance move. I feel like this represents Acheron arresting her plunge into Nihility and - very literally - bringing her back to herself. I absolutely agree there is no malice present whatsoever. The whole imagery of Acheron … Prey and Predator Hunting thing, reminds me of Acheron telling us, “In a world of Monochrome, there will be a flash of red.” Also, there’s a possibility that she is a dual Pathstrider, just like Phantylia. Acheron is an Emanator of Nihility, and also strides on the Path of The Hunt. This is reflected by Black Swans images of Acheron’s Memories (Remembrance) turning into Acheron’s image of a Snake killing a Swan (The Hunt). She is without a question a self-proclaimed Galaxy Hunter, but she may be a legitimate follower of The Hunt.

From what I understand and think of, Acheron is the emanator of Voracity. However, Acheron was eaten by IX but she tried to fight back and tried eating the nihility. As a result, Acheron's power was trapped by Nihility. Thus she has seemingly Voracity power that just kills and eats everyone but also trapped inside her. Afterall, both these Aeons are blackholes. Also this supports the crazy character of her alter just going on a killing spree and also the requirement of power of nihility to unlock and free the true Acheron

Worth to mention that Acheron's world (Izumo) was in a bring of destruction (by the Kamis). But then suddenly everything disappear, their world, their history, probably they got sucked into the Black Sun (IX). Maybe it has something to do with the story of Frebass and Acheron? I believe the Red Acheron is one of the Kami form (sport of herrscher). While acheron's memories almost wiped out, the Kami still has it. Maybe she can remind acheron of things, hence why some of her text is in red

It’s weird because (at least in Japanese) it seems like the thing inside her addresses Swan differently from Acheron. Almost as if she has something inside of her that Swan fears. We know from skill previews that this is her ultimate so it’s possible there are two Acherons. This is just my theory and i have no recollection when did i heard this: Acheron memories is not fully gone to the void. She said it by herself that whenever she opens her sheathe, some memories will just rush in to her brain. Instead of a fraction of IX, I think Black Swan saw her locked past. I can agree with the part "Acheron can break or torn Black Swan apart due to her being an emanator". For her reason to go to penacony, I think she is wandering around, being a galaxy ranger or targeting the watchmaker legacy though im not sure about it. Also from what i noticed from her ultimate, its either she can control her other personality or the sheathe actually conceals the other personality.

Black Swan being a pathstrider on the path of Nihility makes sense because of her seemingly chill and uncaring attitude where her only reason to live is to collect memories which is definitely somewhat of a wasteful way to live your life. But then according to this theory, her being close to the Aeon of Remembrance and her powers being the opposite of the Aeon of Nihility, she should want to stay from Nihility as much as possible. I don't know if this makes any sense lol.

3:24 I believe she can annihilate not just memory but also time as well. In 2.1 trailer, in the scene where we fight Aventurine, when Archeron step her foot, time starting to slow down as you can see from the raindrop slowing down which means that Nihility power is a black hole that destroy pretty much all the concepts of universe.

I can't help but feel that Acheron is connected to Sparkle. In the short there was a lore dump about Izumo it was a city of neon lights or something. In Sparkle's PV you see a city of neon lights. Can't help but feel that Sparkle left Izumo before it was destroyed and baited Acheron into Penacony.

at 6:25, she got lost 😂 Also, if i remember correctly, memokeepers dont necessarily need to have no body. And that memokeepers can still have a physical body (as a messenger, she has no body is what the MoC girl said, i remember). 1:34 But they can choose to give up their bodies , set the physical form aside (what black swan did in her character story), and travel through memories (what MoC girl said). This then goes to Welt saying that he heard a rumor that Emanators of remembrance dont have a physical body, and that they can only be seen by people who they want to see them. (thats how Black Swan, and possibly the MoC girl, is thought to be Emanators of Fuli) Theory: Blackswan is a memosnatcher, and not a memokeeper. ->MoC Girl Dialogues from the game: --Messenger: But you don't have to worry about me peeping, stealing, or controlling your memories. Memokeepers have undergone rigorous training. Isnt it supposed to be manipulating emotions? (this is in one of the quest in penacony regarding the fix the clock minigame and it sometimes has red texts in which resulted to trailblazer's emotions getting influenced by it and becoming angry) Which is why, i think, that acheron's lines during the prologue, "...what matters is your spontaneous reaction", makes sense if she knows she can unconsciously manipulate emotions and that she's trying to take care of us. And I remember that she says that we use emotions to decide, to feel, to move, and whatnot. P.S. at 5:40 Black Swan did this without prior consent which resulted to no warnings or idea about the dangers, so she got what she deserved. Interesting theory. I feel like Black Swan is just a Memokeeper of higher rank than the MoC girl, if there even is such a thing among memokeepers. That being said, Black Swan is definitely humbled by Acheron, bc now in the voicelines she says "I'll wait for you (The TB) to share your memories with me". Basically she learned her lesson in going into memories without consent lmao

This explain why Black Swan work with Aventurine. It seems she can see the pattern and suspect her behind it all. Same as Aventurine. Black Swan proceed to asked her while dancing and seems to be scare. Meanwhile, Aventurine encounter Acheron (who pretend to enter her room only because she saw aventurine sneak into someone else room) and immidiately get PTSD. It seems he want ask help to Dr Ratio but not enough time. Sort after, he asked Sparkle but she refuse to be his "friend". Then, he ask Black Swan to help. Perhaps Aventurine past got some comnection with Acheron. I like that video. It explain even more why Aventurine and Black Swan work together. 🤔The pattern is like memory bubble. Just like Firefly sneak into the the dreamscape. It turns out she is not alone.

That being said, Black Swan still tells us to be cautious of Aventurine, and we fight him as a boss, not Acheron. So there's definitely some interesting points there too. The trailer seems to imply we are working alongside Acheron against Aventurine. As for Black Swan, she's not in the trailer, but I'm sure she has a role in it too- they probably wanted to showcase Acheron and Aventurine mostly since they're the focus of the new version

Regarding the question at the end: Since Acheron seems to be the type of person to hunt down things, that also makes her be the type of person that makes something "come to an end" which also means that something stops creating new memories, since that can only happen for things that keep going on. And maybe through someone or some kind of meaning or sense, she wants to get rid of things that should no longer continue to create memories by existing. And Black Swan says in the animation that everyone is drawn to the Watchmakers Legacy, which could be a big deal, maybe something so big it could either be very bad in the wrong hands, or maybe its just "forbidden knowledge" to have to begin with. And that could be something of a magnitude that a person like Acheron gets involved through whatever tells her to go where and when. Thats my theory.

I think you nailed one of the most important facts that people miss from the short: Acheron didn’t turn the tables, counter Black Swan, or do *anything*. Her sheer existence, when gotten close enough to inspect, is the starless sea, the black hole: you get too close and you fall in and meet your destruction. The more you spend time with her, the more you get sucked in, the more you’re doomed. I can’t wait to see what Aventurine has planned for her.

Ik this is a stretch, but I feel that because Black Swan has so many memories, she must be very susceptible to mara. It would be very interesting if a Memokeeper was ever corrupted by the Abundance.

She's not a "Long-life species", and even if she was, she cast away her body and became a "memetic entity". Basically she's a ghost of sorts, which enables her to do things most living people can't. Memokeepers likely have a way to mitigate the effects of the abundance, not to mention they don't even follow the path, being tied to the Rememberance instead.

(SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T DONE CERTAIN QUESTS) I also don't remember much as I got these info a long time ago and my memories are hazy If Acheron lost her memories because she's an emanator of Nihility and Black Swan almost disappeared for gazing into IX because of her connection to memories then I wonder, Did March also gaze into IX? Her situation is the same as Acheron where they don't remember anything from their past but I have a feeling she has a connection or at least some interaction with the Aeon of Remembrance and/or Aeon of Nihility. I have a feeling that she has something to do with the Aeon of Remembrance as she has a memokeeper? or just a follower of Fuli in her brain protecting her from gazing into her past? (During her companion quest with Fu Xuan) , so she must have some connection to the Aeon of Remembrance . The logo, gem, or whatever that is below Black Swan's chest has a similar pallet color to March's entire existence of pink and blue too so more evidence that she might have a connecton to the Aeon of Remembrance . But it wouldn't make sense why the Aeon of Remembrance would take away her memories wouldn't it? Unless some outside source did, hence why I think she gazed into the Aeon of Nihility and that's why she doesn't remember anything from her past. I do think I remember the Aeon of Remembrance using 6 phased ice too and March was also trapped in 6 phased ice, floating in space I believe when the express found her. Another evidence of her connection with the Aeon of Remembrance. As to why she was trapped in it? I suggest that a series of events happened where she gazed into the abyss hence her memories slowly fading away and with how possibly important she is to the remembrance (Pink and blue seems to be their choice of color for the followers of remembrance as evident from the gem below Black Swan's chest), it might have been that the Remembrance freezed her to save her from losing herself . But it might also be that she's a shard of the Remembrance too as she is the only known person to be able to weild 6 phased ice . Her skill effects when she fights and her ability icons also have a similar shape to the gem below Black Swan's chest so she might have more connections to the Remembrance than we think

this is just my theory but... i think by the end of penacony, black swan may not be around anymore... what i mean by that is that, judging from the foolish mistake black swan did by looking into acheron's past, there might be a slight chance where the white-haired version of acheron may just target black swan for some unknown reasons this would definitely traumatize the players even more after firefly's and robin's deaths

Highly doubt that. Acheron didn't kill Black Swan because she has no reason to. And Black Swan is now wary of Acheron. The two aren't enemies, it seems more likely Acheron will end Aventurine, because ain't no way that dude is going to survive a clash with an Emanator, at full power.

Imo, memories are like dreams. Some dreams are related to the past or future and some are just random. I think the reason why she’s in penacony is to try and dream some parts of her past since penacony is the land of dreams. You dream to enter the place. Maybe that’s why? She just wants to dream or in this case, “remember” her past

Even if Acheron bears the characteristics of a self-annihilator, the imagery of the short made me think of the aeon of Voracity: Oroboros, because of the black and white part where it shows the predatory chases but also because of the info about Oroboros in the SU "They are reserved and uncommunicative, occasionally resulting in unintended consequences when attempting to speak,such as inadvertently consuming their conversation partner." which is literally what was about to happen to Black Swan were she not saved by a miracle... Black Swan said Acheron is no doubt after the Watchmaker's Legacy. I don't think that's true, or at least not as true as she thinks. From the way the Legacy is described, it doesn't seem like Acheron would want. At least, from what we know about her so far. They have made it a point to tie her with death and the killing of Duke Inferno. Someone who was fairly powerful from our brief encounter with him and his myriad trailer. Not only that, but everyone we've met who's looked into her warns us that she is dangerous. Which makes me think that whatever her reason for being on Penacony is, it has something to do with death or killing someone. So my theory so far is that maybe Acheron isn't after the Legacy itself, if it matters to her at all. But perhaps she's following the trail of the Watchmaker's Legacy because it will lead her to some kind of target she's after? Like the short implies, she is a hunter. The question is who is her prey?

Maybe Firefly? SHe fought with SAM, and not to mention Black Swan refers to them as "Stellaron Hunter and a Galaxy Ranger? Smart to pit enemies against each other....". It might explain why she refused to save Firefly, but then again that in itself can have a counterpoint. Basically everyone in Penacony is there for some reason, but nobody knows who, and everyone is just fucking each other over till they make it.

Assuming Firefly wasn't lying about her disease, maybe Acheron somehow sensed she was sick and considered her dying a mercy? So she didn't save her because she thought that dying was the best thing for Firefly. And her real target is still somewhere on Penacony. But then that could also be wrong and Firefly was her target. And Acheron is still on Penacony simply because she has no reason to leave yet. God, I'm praying 2.1 gives us some answers. Cause I'm going to start going in circles soon. XD

I got the impression that she's an Emanator of Finality, it fits with what Aventurine said about her(And so far everything Aventurine said seems to be true). It's also an interesting contrast with the Raiden from Genshin who's the god of eternity. Her memory issues could be because of The Finality too, maybe she forgets events after they conclude.
