I think it was cause her weight was merging with the boat's weight which dragged her down the lake But in the river her body was super close to being paralyzed when she went into the river which made her equivalent to a floating corpse and that the currents was a lot stronger than her weight that's why

I think the cinematography of the movie was great. The camera often stayed on the same level as Iris' eyes, which really pulls us in her view. The way they held shots for such long times helped with creating tension, without it being setups for a jumpscare or something is something I liked. Personally the main thing I disliked was that it was named "Don't move". As that implies, it's a choice you must take to survive the situation. But it wasn't. It was something forced on someone and tries to fight it off for basically the whole duration of the film. And it's annoyingly clear that this name was chosen to link it to "Don't breathe" for marketing purposes. But that's just a pet peeve of me ig Still a great movie, 8.5/10!

When he watched Chloe die, he felt like God. He had her life in his hands and he caused her death. He essentially became addicted to that feeling of watching a helpless person die, and now does that to other women as a way to relive it. I like the movie. The man kidnapper gave me Matt Desmond look a like vibe.I new he was probably a killer or serial killer.I mean who stops on a mountain out of nowhere. And starts talking about there family.Serial killers crazy people. Then as he s going back to the car.Shes behind him talking all trustworthy about him.I would have ran past him so fast. There would been a trail pee on the ground.Because I was running so fast. Why why people do we have to kill the Old man and the black cop man.Just asking or saying. But I really like the movie.

I know why… cuz it’s a fuacking MOVIE! That’s why🤣😭😭 there was so much non sense, when she moved behind the couch in a split second even though she’s paralyzed?!? when she moved the blinds while paralyzed, when he got stabbed and shot but could swam to the beach?!?!? It all makes no sense cuz at the end of the day is it a movie🙄🤣

I thought the characters made a LOT of dumb decisions. It was making me so mad! Near the beginning, Iris had a knife pointed at the dude after the car crash, and he had nothing. But instead of trying to stab him while she had a chance and he was unarmed, she decided to run away, knowing damn well she would be paralyzed. The only real option there was to use the knife to try to attack him, but she didn't. Then the old dude at the cabin opened the door when Iris was blinking NO NO NO. Any rational person would understand this to mean, he's dangerous, considering there's a clearly distressed, paralyzed girl who he's looking for. Instead of calling the police when either one of them wanted it, the old dude just asked the killer dude a million questions. And eventually, the old guy believed the obviously lying killer and was about to give iris away before he heard the phone ring. Like are you serious?? He eventually does call the police though after wayyy too long. And when the guys were fighting, and the old guy had the advantage, he stopped attacking when the killer started talking about his wife, which was stupid. Who cares what he has to say??? KILL HIM! Eventually, the cop pissed me off too. There was a clearly kidnapped women in the passenger seat, but the cop turned his back to the kidnapper for wayyyyyy too long way too many times. He couldn't even see the kidnapper in his peripheral vision grabbing the chain, or even hear it. And he pulled his gun soooooo slow. And he didn't even try to back up when the guy was approaching. Or yell or anything. I know cops are better trained than this! Even the killer himself made a stupid decision when he actually tried to grab the boat from Iris's pocket when she asked. Hasn't he seen the movies?? This is how it always goes. The victim, in a final attempt to get the upper hand, requests a seemingly innocent task from the killer, which the victim uses to surprise and get the upper hand on the killer. Iris uses the opportunity to somehow grab his knife without him seeing (yeah, okay, sure), and stab his throat. The guy was smart throughout the movie. There's no way he fell for the oldest trick in the book. Good movie though
