All the best for 2024. Mooching about Rhayader in Mid Wales I go and visit St Brides Church where a local death over a coffee brewed up on the BCB Crusader Mk2 reveals a poignant lesson about not procrastinating. After learning of the death of an associate I reflect on how sad it was not to hook up with John. Well, can't change that now all we have to do is learn from it and respond to the chances that are revealed to us. The Mid wales hills were being battered higher up and so this was a great way to spend the time just chilling and remembering in the porch.

Hey Mark Great place to sit and have a brew moment. Ive done the exact same thing lots of times over the last couple of years. I also go inside the churches for my own faith connections. I enjoy reading some of the inscriptions on the grave stones. Often giving you an insight into part of that persons life. There is something peaceful and spiritual in and around a church yard. I do get seduced into reading the gravestones and the memorials on the walls inside, wondering about people who, a lot of the time, have slipped out of all knowledge and thought. It makes me sad, but I'm always drawn back to it. Interesting re the twins on the gravestone. I think we all have these instances when we didn't 'seize the day'. Will we ever learn?! I totally agree Chris - non worshipers the world over enjoy these spaces. It's partly the geometry and the fact they're linked to the stories of community like here. Lovely place Mark. And a beautiful but poignant story. My Dad missed his twin brother dreadfully. John died in 2014 and my Dad in 2016. They were two peas in a pod. Thinking of you mate as another New Year approaches. Not religious at all, but Churches have a special atmosphere - always enjoy sitting in an old Church.
