Don't rush out to buy the Chanel Gabrielle Bag - discontinued bag

I absolutely love the Gabrielle, but only in the small size. I love that it’s not the most popular bag too, means fewer people will have the same bag as me. I agree that it’s not worth buying in a boutique probably, but honestly I don’t think many Chanel bags are anymore. The ones that are worth buying are either too expensive (CFs) or too hard to find (minis, coco handles).

I have the Gabrielle backpack in the mermaid iridescent leather and I LOVE it. I love the Gabrielle shoulder bag too but I love the new 22 even more, but I’ll wait until they fix the issues.

I think you are right. Having said that, I've never regretted rushing out to buy a GST when they announced they were discontinuing that one and the second hand price hasn't dropped (gone up for black ones in good condition) although they are plentiful on the second hand market.

I really like the Gabrielle handbag. I wish I had purchased it instead of the Coco handle in small. The Coco handle is my one and only Chanel handbag.

I never really liked this particular style. Loved the backpack . I got it in gold and i still love it. 😜 i wanted in black, but kind of happy that i didnt buy , because when it comes to black bags, i prefer flap one or 2.55 ( that one i didnt like in the beginning, but ah it grew on me, its so elegant, understated, and sophisticated ) i love it Have a blessed day🙏🧡

Initially, i am hooked to this bag after some KZbinrs raved about hers since i do not have any Chanel handbag that time. But after i had the Chanel 19, i lost interest in this handbag, reason being the bottom i seen from reseller or some KZbinrs are they are easily scratch and the top part can be very saggy especially if it is a bigger one. I love the Chanel 19 so much more although it is a lambskin but not the Classic type of lambskin that can be easily scratch and can be easily buff out and easy to use too. The gabriel style looks a lot busier with so many straps, certainly not my style. Thanks for sharing.

I was disdainful of the Gabrielle when it was first lunched in 2016-2017. I didn't like the look & the boxy base. However, I am now so in love with mine, I bought a small teal blue chevron Gabrielle and I used it so frequently. My most favourite bag😍.

Emma - we've known for months now this is being discontinued. Me - 😳 😮 WHAT?? Clearly I've been disconnected from Chanel this year. I've always liked the Gabrielle bag, but something always stopped me from buying it. Sometimes that something was it rarely being in stock in US boutiques... But even when I tried it on, I couldn't bring myself to spend the money. I really wanted a dark tweed and leather combo. I saw one worn in Boston, and I thought it was adorable.

If I have made it this far always gravitating towards other Chanel styles, than it's clear to me that it is not the right style for me. I do like the handle on your bag and Amelia Rose also has a similar Chanel strap on her Gabrielle (if she still has it). Hopefully they will bring in a seasonal style one day with a chunky Chanel strap.

I have never really been a fan of the Gabrielle. I wanted to like it but I just don't gravitate to it. When I see them in the flesh I always think they look lovely but just not for me. In all honesty I am not surprised they are being discontinued. I think Chanel really wanted them to stay a classic but it just hasn't worked out.
