Onward and upward. After that last video, let's do something easier. Next step in the footings and stem wall process is to strip footings, snap lines and set cleats. So let's get to it!
Forming, pouring, stripping, and sweating.....Foundation work is just a series of repetitive steps. One thing we've found over the years is to clean up as much as possible as you go. Its easy for me to get overwhelmed and keeping the clutter down, really helps.

Please remember that I'm not showing the best way to form footings, but just the method that works well for us. Thanks for watching!
Oh and another takeaway, if you use a drone for commercial work, you need to be part107 certified. Commercial work includes social media like KZbin if you plan to make an income off of that. I watched a video about this last May and then purchased the Part 107 Course sso.teachable.... I studied and learned for 1 month and then took my test. I scored a 95%, which is a testament to how good Greg and the crew over there teach. That link will save you $100 off the course and support this channel.

Those steel mates look interesting. I use two electrical staples per hook. Fairly quick to install, theyre cheap, and its incredibly easy to strip. They hold really strong as well. Its pretty rare that i have a hook pushed during the pour

Would love to work with you guys. Rare to find the non; chest thumping, egotistical tradesmen. Have learned leaps from the real craftsmen that consider more than banging nails etc. Keep up the good work!

The Bob Loblaw Law Blog comment made me do a double take. Haven't heard that in years. Way to punch it in! I'm getting ready to do my first foundation in 12 years and I've really appreciated learning about some of the new products and your thoughts.

There’s something called duplex screws. Extra long 1/4” hex head that can be driven with a nut driver or even the 1/4” chuck of an impact driver. Easy to keep clean and easy to knock concrete off after the fact. Pretty cool. I think they come in 1-1/2” and 2-1/2”.

You should check out the Stabila LA 180L for laying out foundation and walls. One person operation. Pricey but worth it.

What specifically gives you confidence that your layout on formwork hasn't moved in any direction or a combination of directions enough to cause issues later?

How do you store and transport forming pegs? I usually just let them roll around but I bought a new truck so I want to develop a system for this one

Do you think if you put turnbuckles in that would have prevented your blowout. Also some guys put Vaseline on screw holes and makes them easy to reveal
