Isn't the point in getting a fine - to make it hurt? So why do courts make it work for a guilty party's budget? Doesn't that negate the "oh crap! I don't want to have to do that again!?"
@D64nz
@D64nz Жыл бұрын
For so many reasons. First of which is you don't want them committing more crimes to pay off a previous fine. Second, if they lose their house because of a fine then they will lose their job not long after. Then you get no money coming in. And as above, you increase the crime rate. There are a bunch of small reasons too, but if you don't think a small payment each week is a big deal, and the smaller it is the longer it goes, then feel free to send me that money you don't seem to think you'll miss, even if it's just $5 a week. 😂
@kodigemma3359
@kodigemma3359 Жыл бұрын
That’s not the entire point. It’s also to have the offender contribute to cost of operating the court. Most offenders are already poor, making them desperate for the money to pay their fine is likely to result in more crime in a multitude of ways.

Jeremy loves to remind people how disabled and wheelchair bound he is. It’s all bull. He gets off on making constant demands to the jail staff, who can’t refuse a ‘Disabled’ person. Their is a video of him in court acting all vulnerable and incapable, right up until the judge tells him no. Then he stands up and flips over an extremely heavy table and has to be forced back into the chair. This shows just how strong and dangerous he can be when he doesn’t get his way. I'm sorry if you can't behave in jail then send his a$$ to prison. Why would you release someone for continuing bad behaviour?

How can he `prove` he is a CIA operative? CIA confirmation, show a payslip, or else a contempt charge based on his iteration...

Gee, maybe you should've thought about your kids that you claim to love, when you were stealing that car!!! I hope you don't bond out and the kids have a stable place to live without you.

I don't know what good it would have done, but how can the officer testify compellingly to the events of that traffic stop when he couldn't even remember his partner's name?

Doesn't Shue ever get tired of being in jail? Christ just modify his behavior and stop breaking the law and he wouldn't need to whine and complain and bitch about the "system". He is the reason he keeps ending up here. Just endless waste of space.
