I’ve had much more consistent fun and damage in Shimanto than in Suzuya. My win percentage isn’t much better, but I’m doing more each match with it. Just miss the credit earning boost.

After 6 months of playing i hit the jackpot, i got all the new ijn cruisers except for tier 8 in crates lol. Shimanto is a little slower then the mogami, (i dont have suzuya), but the torpedo angles and fast rotating guns make up for that. I got my first kraken in the shimanto last week, so i might be biased when i say its a damn good cruiser

This ship class never existed. The Omono is the last “kinda” real ship on the tech tree. She was supposed to be a submarine flotilla leader. This ship on the other hand is fake. There may be a drawing somewhere on a napkin but besides that she isn’t real. Also these triple gun turrets never existed.

A full AA build, is hilarious in this. I took 31 planes in my best match, and a kraken to boot 😂 however most of the time I’m full AA minus the fourth AA slot unless I’m in a division with a buddy taking a carrier. 7.6-7.9km on the AA is funny 😂

Thanks for your thoughts on this ship. Looks fun but I can't seem to get lucky with crates. Regarding cruiser builds, I've found that for some ships work with a hybrid build, prop mod in slot 2, rudder mod in slot 3. Sometimes you just NEED to be able to slow down quick and speed up just as quick and the faster rudder means that I have more options when I inevitably get spotted. Honestly, full concealment only works if you know your team will help keep the reds at bay. If you're forced to run, all bets are off if you open fire while getting out of there

I played the tier 5 last night and carried, I'm not really a cruiser guy. These ships are okay. I'm also mostly FTP,. Mikawa 15 '2; I was surprised..

Yeah, Suzuya in the game represents the Mogamis as-built, when the Japanese were still pretending to comply with the Treaties…they were built with triple 155mm turrets, and a year or two in, swapped those for the twin 203s. So shimanto was never built.

The AA is a huge improvement over Suzuya. The citadel also seems lower, there is also a secondary deck of 27mm present.

I did the 20% traverse speed on shamonto and OMG those cannons swing they can go from Port to starboard in like 2 seconds only issue Is that the guns get knocked out very easily where is the tier 6 Omano cannons and torps I have yet to experience them getting knocked out yet.

I rather play suzuya anytime over Shimanto the one thing i like is the fast turrets because usually Japanese ships have slow turrets. The reload is just brutal for 155s. The reload feels like im play Japanese heavy cruisers and at that point id rather play mogami or suzuya. Im still happy they brought new ships into the game for variety

How about you do a demo \presentation on lower tier ships starting from tier 6 upwards..... With a diff in that you put in modules and upgrades available on that tier ... Most guys running youtube channels put in high priced admirals and more in witch of cours is not available on that tier.. Many of the players have to do it the hard way like graining their way up ..Thank you enjoyed the shimanto
