Great sharing on the dementia awareness part. My Ahmah had dementia too. I was the only grandchildren she rmb, but she rmbed me as a baby/ toddler/ sometimes teenager. She passed away this year July, due to intestine failure. Not to scare anyone, but I just wanna add on that sometimes, people with dementia might not even have the capability to voice out on certain pains that they are feeling, so we won't know that they are actually suffering (maybe helper might know). Plus, my ahmah was a very quiet and introvert person, so this characteristic of her stayed thru her dementia period. Just feel like giving a piece of advice, if you have dementia elderly in your family too.. do also be alert on symptoms for other heath issues. (If like Tommy, or my Case, my Ahmah stayed with helper too), get the helper to be more attentive in reporting about any possible health issues too, not just dementia.

My grandma brought me up. I love her to bits, and nobody knows she has dementia including myself until much later.. i was so focus on building my career back then. And what Tommy says is true, going back to see her always hurts me alot. It hurts like a knife piercing through your heart. What i have now or what i can do for her now does not matter anymore. Please to all people out there, try to get your elderly out for more activities. Keep thier brain active as much as u can. When if it happens, its all too late.

Coming from someone who is living overseas from 18 to now 33 and getting ready to come back, Singaporeans don't know how good they have it there, complain complain complain about government, inflation this that, go to any western countries and tell me which capital cities have lunch below $10? Even McD also minimum $5 while we still can get hawker food for cheaper and fuller meal. I'm paying 6k rent for a shoebox studio while a salad for lunch is $15, Korean Pork Bone Soup $18, burger $15 etc. One of the biggest reason for me to move back is because Singapore is actually the best place to live when you compare quality and price. It scares me when people want change just for the sake of changing, I've seen a lot throughout my years and I'm telling ya'll we have it the best in Asia, even better than HK, JAP and KR. Aiya, really sad, I did all my research and nowhere else is better, if Singapore really change government I also don't know where to go anymore.

When I started to take over my mother’s f&b business. Sugar was $1/kg. Today the cheapest sugar I can find is about $1.50/kg. To the average household it’s only 50cents. But 1kg of sugar, an average household can use it for 1-1.5 months. For us. Every outlast uses 2-3kg per day. I have 4 branches. That’s 8-12kg per day. It’s $6 a day. Then it’s $180 per month in terms of increase. And we are only talking about sugar. And I cannot increase price as frequent as ingredient cost. This industry honestly one of the hardest thing I’ve done.

Since you guys chat a bit about politics, I just want to comment on the part where if everyone have the same mindset to vote opposition just for the sake of letting PAP felt there is a competition and not rationally based on the parties ability. Imagine if such action happened and misfire really? Of all the oppositions parties currently, I think only WP can make it to do the job well like PAP probably. But what if some random kuku oppositions get into the parliament and create a mess, do you guys wish this to happen? Think about it properly, vote wisely.
@Duperman24944 ай бұрын
Then how? Wait until all hdb prices reach minimum 1mil? While your pap party continue to tell you its "affordable" and it's willing-buyer willing-seller? Then throw 200 every few mths into your account in hopes you stfu? Or you wanna wait for more gst increases? More reasons for them to justify every increase? Wanna wait until basic chicken rice costs $15? Then pap will continue to tell you hey its willing-buyer willing-seller, nobody put a gun to your head to buy.

20 min mark about politics most interesting, actually you all should also consider to create own political party, may just somehow win. We must reduce the old boring and the overpaid, but at the same time the current opposition is also not that good actually our SG's own private sector, media, and all the other private sector people actually we got many good and capable Singaporeans
@jen51384 ай бұрын
Just because they are good with content creation does not mean they are qualified or equipped to run a country.
@CY_Chen4 ай бұрын
@jen5138 They creating their own political parties does not necessary mean they have to field themselves, since actually a number of them here are actually millionaires already actually that status makes some of them above ministers. (The other KZbinr JHT is definitely minister level). The xigua guy actually also is a level suitable to be minister, except he did some littering or some corrective work before not so nice, otherwise he is also that level. What they have is marketing power so actually if they want they actually for real as a collective group can easily scout and form a team of 88 capable candidates the best ones that they can find. The Jon guy is definitely a minister calibre person. To field 88 people is only 13.5k x 88 = 1.188 m. Something that they can afford here. If they form a team, actually it might already automatic be more capable than WP if they source correctly. Whether they can then win PAP is another question but can compete
@funnygirl4424 ай бұрын
Just a question.. if cost is so high / rising like both f&b bosses keep mentioning, why choose prime location to rent leh? I mean there’s a choice in that too… just my two cents. Rent plays a big part so.. if cost margin is important, is it possible sometimes owners just don’t wanna drop the premium locations for pride too? 🤷🏻♀️
