Kai Olafson unfortunately the double date night DST series is no longer happening, due to unforeseen circumstances out of volx's control. He does play DST with twitch subs occasionally, but does not upload those streams here.

You can actually take Woodlegs' pirate sail and infinite boat cannon off by hammering his boat, and then put it on a regular boat. It's pretty buggy and probably not intentional (the cannon and sail don't have an assigned name string and are called "MISSING NAME") but it does mean that you can get a boat with the Iron Wind and an infinite boat cannon.

For future viewers: An 8th class of boat was added known as the Encrusted boat. It requires 6 boards, 3 rope, and 4 limestone. It has 800 durability, 2 item slots and a speed of 4; the same speed as a log raft. This vessel is best used to tank damage during boss fights due to it's large health pool.

I had once gotten really lucky and found a cargo boat when sailing off of my starting island. It's contents, a spear and a speargun. They were at full durability but the boat was in need of repair.

Dearest Volx, It's been a long time since we've had one of these types of videos. I enjoy them cause I always learn something I didn't know before which ends up renewing my love and passion for Don't Starve. I am sure these take quite a lot of editing and recording and I can just imagine what the blooper reel sounds like volxLUL but I do hope you make more of these. I didn't know the stats behind the boats as far as durability and speed (mainly cause I really don't play SW) so that was nice to know and also have something to come back to if I forget. Also I didn't know the different boats had different values for revealing the map. Now what comment would be complete without saying something about the glorious and wonderful surprise hidden in this video and that is the BEAUTIFUL and WONDERFUL exploding of those evil, no good, and villainous Tallbirds with a freaking boat cannon by good old Captain Woodlegs volxHUG volxHYPE That made my day seeing them getting killed and burnt to a crisp muhahahahahaha :D Now we still had some pig pop ups but there was less of them from what I remember about the previous tutorial which is a great start. Now we just need some spooder pop ups and it'll be a perfect video volxSMUG As always thank you for taking the time to make this great tutorial and I look forward to the next one. in my opinion the cargo boat is the best for exploring. it has an inventory that good for holding your food (generally meatballs for early and jerky for later. this means you dont have to make stops in your exploring anywhere near as much.

The LegitTutle using a coffee plant no longer works. You can use a limpet rock but you can't put the monkey ball in a chest anymore either. You should check his woodlegs run to see how he made a new farm using elephant cactus.

Replace the coffee plants with unfertilized elephant cactus and the farm will still work. I mention it in the description of that video since they patched it out.

I was aware of the map reveal bonus for the boats, but I have not been able to actually see a comparison between boat reveal distances. How much more does the armored boat actually reveal? It seems like the rowboat is the best option.
