You forgot to mention this, but it may help. Use a purple grouper and wait for the meteors to stop. A purple grouper gives complete invinciblity on boats, so its bascically a bypass. And yes, this works with quacken to get free loot

Whenever I start a new shipwrecked world, I always manage to find EVERYTHING ELSE in the world before the volcano, then dry season hits and I die in hellfire without ever seeing it...

when close to eruption, during eruption, a little after eruption on volcano - it's *ultra overheating!* No item will help you cool you down there unless you hugging endothermic fire point blank

You forgot to say that you can use Rainbow Jellyfish to locate the volcano since on New Moon they travel from the volcano towards the center of the map and when its day they return back so you can follow them.

You can also find the meteor staff surrounded by obsidian on random island ,but when you pick it up dragoon eggs will start falling.

For those watching in 2020, first off ,sorry you had to live through this year. Secondly, if you want to use the altar of snackrifice, you will have to remain in the volcano throughout dry season, because if you leave the volcano, the delay will not work. Also, like the caves, if a crocodog attack was skipped, it will begin as soon as you leave the volcano. For this reason, special care should be taken when leaving the volcano towards the end of hurricane season as you might get a crocodog attack in conjunction with sealnado. Fair warning. If you can, you should make your main base in the volcano. It is the safest area. The dragoons are easy to dodge and will not follow you if they agro on you. Just clear out an area near the altar and bring some jungle turf and reusable resources and its smooth sailing.

I guess there's something to mention about being at the top of the volcano during a eruption: wherever you are (in the volcano biome) the temperature will be 90°. =ded even if you have thermal stone+floral shirt+dumbrella+eating ice cream

My volcano was in the middle of my map. I circled the entire map and couldn’t find it. I spent many many days searching for it and I finally found it almost dead center of my map. I play on PS4 so Idk if that has anything to with it or not. But I just wanted to let people know that it IS possible to have the volcano not spawn on the edge of the map.
