Wait, how does the horn make a new heard? Whenever I use it and drag them away, they try to walk back to the original home location. Any tips? I even killed the remaining herd and they still try running back EDIT: I figured it out guys. Get the baby to follow you through the parents into an enclosed area. After that, you can kill the parents and leave the baby in the area you want the new herd to be. Once that baby fully grows up, it will stop running into the wall trying to get back to its parents and will create a new herd

i'll guide you bro , step 1 : dont solo woodie as for Maxy , protect your bases with ice flingos ( care about the position of your campfire ofcoz ) the flingos will help stun mobs , carry armor at all times . footballhat/ wigfrid helm should suffice . make sure you have a nice supply of dragon fruit seeds by feeding your dragon fruit to your caged bird . This is accompanied by your stash of manure. always just note that he has the lowest hp so protect your base how you see fit as there are plenty options to suit your style of play

Can you lead beefs into enclosure and then just get in when hounds attack

yeah you totally can but I wouldn't recommend it. It's better to just remember where the beefs are and then run towards it when hounds attack. The beefs won't attack the hounds until hounds attack them, this means if the hounds are agro on you, they won't attack the beefs so the enclosure won't really help....... you just needa keep running around the beefs until one hound attacks the beef.

Idk if this would apply on pc, but on counsel I can create another herd with food and a bell. U dont need to tame it just feed it. When I tested it, I bonded the beefalo and took him far away from the herd, fead him a good amount and left for a few days. After a few days it appears they are no longer trying to get back to the herd and stared to create a new herd. I have done this 4 times now. Feeding him I think is important as he would still be trying to return if u didn't. I have not seen anyone speak of this, so I'm not sure if it is common knowledge.

So I got a problem with these beefalo, I used a telelocator to teleport them to my house and they seem to be wanting to go back to their herd and they dont mate or anything like that, they just walk into the wall towards the herd

I had one penned, and mating season came and went, and then I discovered a baby beefalo wandering back towards the original herd while the parent just kept walking into the walls. They can birth outside the fence!

What season is it? Close to or in Spring? The beefs may be in mating season and while in mating season they will wake up at night still when you attempt to shave them.

Now I always kill a few Beefalo at early games. They give a good amount of meat and furs, and probably a horn for a Beefalo hat, which is PERFECT for winter.

Secondly i found a seperated herd in the Forest Biome and I attempted to use the 1 horn I was able to obtain feom the slaughter that happenes to attempt to migrate them but when the effects wore off they seemed to try to return to there previous biome.. I couldnt be to sure as I was immediately attacked by shadows... Yea my management in this game is very bad 😂. Basically, my question is: How could I permanently have them in the savana region? Should i gate them in?

Hey I found the wet how to kill Beefalo by food you must give it a 15-23 red mushroms and any of another beefalo won't attack you :) but its a very long killing proces hehe..
