One of the greatest pleasures you can have as an outback tourer in Australia is being in and experiencing the vast expanse of endless horizons with blue skies, distance trees lines, mountain ranges and open plains, there is nothing to compare to it! You can appreciate how insignificant you are as a person on this Earth compared to the scenery. You will either love it and feel exhilarated by it or it will be so daunted you'll want to go back to the city! LOL The German language has a word for vastness "Uferlos" meaning without a shoreline, stretching out for ever, it's what I think of when travelling in the outback of Qld and I love that nature can so dwarf us with this feeling. If you can't see or feel the outback then you're not really looking!

It’s incredible! We absolutely love being out in that vastness. I’m sure we will miss it. 😢

It’s funny how you can build an opinion of the outback deserts being dry, barren and boring. Until you go there and experience the breathtaking solitude, wide open spaces, enormous sky and the stars at night. There’s a beauty in rugged nature that is difficult to explain but once you’ve experienced it you’ll keep going back for it. A primal need to connect with country. Thanks for the good travel advice guys.

Hi Guys - we have just spent the last few weeks binge watching your videos - and we can't thank you enough for all the information (and funny moments) you have shared with us. The "Nigel Dive" will live with us forever! And Sue - you are a real natural - both in front and behind the camera - you put together a very polished episode week after week showcasing our beautiful country. Thank you for answering the two queries I submitted (photography_by_mozzie). We have a Sprinter MWB AWD on order (due for delivery towards the end of this year (fingers crossed) - it's been a VERY LONG wait with quite a few delays along the way). Having watched your videos - our level of excitement about the adventures we have ahead of us cannot be quantified. As a very small token of our appreciation - we have just signed up to your Patreon programme and look forward to seeing where you travel to in the weeks/months/years ahead (we are hoping it might be North America but I guess we'll just have to wait a while longer to find out)!!!!! Wishing you all the very best.

Hi I forgot to ask my question earlier Did you ever feel unsafe or find yourself in any dodgy situation? Did you ever get “the knock” or fines?
@nigelandsueadventures6 ай бұрын
You know on our last couple of days we were reflecting on how we’d never had “the knock”. Kinda feels like we missed out on something! As for feeling unsafe, no, but we always trusted our gut and left if a place felt weird when we arrived

In one tank of diesel is the same amount of energy as my total electrical energy over the entirety of an australian summer with the air con going 24/7. Anybody doing the "big lap" shouldn't ignore the energy amounts, that usually are.
