Dunedin looks like a pretty and interesting place. I get the sense that in New Zealand the Maori have been more organized and institutionalized (with the Maori language being official) than Australian Aboriginal communities, and in that sense it makes New Zealand seem more appealing to tourists. Shockingly there are about as many Maori as there are Australian Aboriginal people!

Actually you are one of the very few that I do trust. I just disagree with only some of your assessments. You probably think I disagree with most, but far from true. Question: Do you think the level of "wokeism" correlates to the running and maintaining of a country? Or only maybe just a small symptom? I hear London and Paris are filthy and almost chaos, those in charge seem to have completely switched their roles as servants of their people who pay them, to dictators of the public, and never accountable for what they don't do. Since they print as much money as they want, they don't even rely on the citizens for taxes anymore. "Civic pride" used to be a thing, otherwise there would never have been these beautiful old public buildings, or even train stations. What do you think has changed?

There is definitely a connection between woke ideology and city life in general. Cities are a hotbed for people thinking they are more sophisticated and educated, further removed from tradition and more interested in the ''new'' - this of course also leads more and more down the path of individualism, and individualism supports the idea that the self is ALWAYS the most important thing. So all these wokesters lean completely into all their narcissistic traits and don't care at all about doing what's best for the community (like picking up garbage or not peeing on public transport) whatever makes you happy, that's what you should be doing. The more interesting question for me is, how is it that all of these completely self-involved, narcissistic people then in turn always talk about wanting socialism/communism... which is the exact opposite of their behavior!!??

@@tosheatower Yes, that is the bigger question for sure. I am wondering if this is not a bait and switch. The people are educated to the max but lost all ability to think, or have any perspective. It seems like they are programed to destroy only. IDK. This new and progressive individualism is far from that, because they all do and think the same thing. They are very adverse to new ideas or different points of view other than the one that is "The Thing".
