I also done 3 years in the army reserves from 1987 to 1990 and the rifle at the time was the SLR or L1A1 which was a beast of s rifle, I was the second best shot on the range.

Y'all should have come up north to lake Erie and done some steelhead fishing, the bite is almost over till September unless you get a deep water bit while trolling for walleye in the summer. Excellent video fellas.

I have seen fish like that in a big farm pond, they were long and skinny like that. We found that it was the run off from the soy bean fields that was making the fish sick.

If you havent named the bait yet. You should call it Crispy critter, use The Red, White ,and Blue for packaging and donate a percentage to Wounded Warrior (or something of that nature). usually your 17-18" are 3lbs, 19-20 are 4lbs, and 20-21" are roughly 5-6lbs....during the spawn it mayb a little different but this is pretty accurate! Awesome to see Crispy getting a bed fish though!!!

We see those length to weights in Colorado all the time. The older males tend to hang onto beds earlier when the weather is to unstable and the females don't come in for quite some time. They end up going from a 5# to a 3# by the time spawn is over.
