I want to see a video on how to tell where to find good fish and what makes a pond a spot where you say "hey i think there are bass in there" if i pulled up to a random pond on the side of the road. what to you would stand out as pointers that there are bass in there? thanks rob!! keep it up LOVE the vids :)
@mattluna15846 жыл бұрын
Noggin41 I like this idea!!
@kaylagargaro47416 жыл бұрын
Noggin41 that's an awesome question!. I'd also love to hear Rob's tips for that. Mine personally are if I wander up to a new pond I try to see if it looks man made or not. If it's within a reasonable distance to a larger body such as a lake that I know of or Google find, and there appears to be a degree of an undercurrent (just toss a small hook with a small grub etc and see if it drops or pulls in a current). If there's a bit of pull I usually try it out, sometimes it's a flop but usually I find those ponds hold fish
@mitchellprout85976 жыл бұрын
I'll be honest. Most of the the ones here in Minnesota don't have anything in them
@Noggin416 жыл бұрын
thats good advice. i have never tried that. i am new to bass fishing and i bought a fishing kayak but so far have only been to waters that i know have bass but want to try new places. i have been having trouble targeting them though!

Me and my dad started watching you awhile back when Avery was tiny. My dad always used to go fishing with me brought me out when I was little. He got kind of sick there in the beginning and it shut our fishing down. His health got bad and instead of going out so much we started watching your videos and as crazy as it is to say we enjoyed it just as much, if not more at times. You started selling those lunkerstv hats and my dad just had to have one. They sold out super quick. So when you lost yours and got some more in I had to order one with Father’s Day coming up. He passed away earlier in the evening today. Never knew I ordered that hat he wanted.. The last time we had talked (the day before he passed) he asked me to wait to watch this video right here ☝🏻 with him. I got the news at work. That hat comes in Saturday and his funeral is this Sunday. I decided it’s only right to bury him with it since it was his. I really just wanted to thank you and let you know that you brought a hobby that my dad loved right to his living room, and made a father and son closer. But more than anything you made a difference in our lives and really brought a lot of joy to me and my dad in his last year of living. Your Mexico videos were his favorite ones. He was also a really big fan of Steven👍🏼 this was my first video without him here. I just wanted to say thanks for all the great memories, and the joy you brought my pops.

It is a big bowl because pretty much all of the lakes in Minnesota are glacial lakes. They form when a large piece of glacier breaks off and makes an indentation in the land which fills up with water and forms a lake. Another name for these lakes are pothole lakes.
