I used to use COBB and had issues with the maps shifting gears way to early in the powerband in A mode. I typically drive in manual most of the time with the exception of being in bumper to bumper traffic. 1st gear for me is insanely twitchy and pretty much useless because I have to up shift so quick or risk slamming into the car in front. Upgraded fuel system to run E85 and switched to ECUTEK. Software is better, more features and the bluetooth dongle with the IPAD app really adds tune ability and ease of use. Its harder to find ECUTEK tuners but I like it better in that I feel I have more control and can see exactly whats going on with my GTR on the ipad app. 2013 Alpha 9 GTR w\shep 1K. 900WHP

The Stock style LC5 is for 2012+ cars that came with factory R-Mode start and launch with RRR, the LC5 VDC off is for CBA cars as they need the VDC off to launch on that software
@tjlazer715 жыл бұрын
You want to put the LC5 VDC OFF Optimized map on. Allows you to launch in VDC OFF if you want, but the main benefit is optimized shifting in auto mode. No 60mph in 4th gear cruising around. If you mainly drive in manual mode, then this tune is not needed.

This is one of the reasons that I will not get an automatic, another unnecessary problem with which to deal. The 6M in my 2019 370Z sport coupe works fine and even the SRM works nicely, although I rarely use it. Having developed the touch and coordination for heel-toe rev matching over years of driving, I am able to do fast and smooth upshfts and downshifts into any gear for whatever the driving requirement is on the road. Drive a GTR for a week, tell me you hate it and then I'd believe your "unnecessary" comment. MANUAL MODE eliminates any 2nd gear to 1st gear issue referenced in this video... My GTR rev matches into 1st like butter. There's a reason why Indy cars do not have the 3rd pedal. it becomes "unnecessary to have due to torque loss, Miss Shifts, one hand off the wheel, shifting speed, etc... So in reality, a 3rd pedal is not efficient and becoming unnecessary. Hence why 99% of the Super/Hyper cars have Dual Clutch systems.
