This estimation is a little harsh. It is true that users should keep in mind that everything that exists in blender GPv3 is written from scratch and will be battle tested only when more people start using it. Some 5 years of work was compressed in a single year of rewrite. But this "developers didnt wait" is wrong phrasing. It gets increasingly harder to maintain the dual codebase and it is difficult to work under experimental flag, cumbersome to test etc.. so when feature parity with a few exception was reached the old code was removed and GPv3 became main and only. We are now 2 weeks before release, which was posponed for a week to iron out most of the issues. Team is resolving on average 6-7 bugs daily. By the time it gets released I feel it is going to be great. Then there is always a corrective release following. But it is true that this is brand new tool and it will take some time to reach maturity. In that time please... do your part people and report issues! Get engaged with the community. If you can donate or inspect code. What you should not do is exclaiming "sloppy, nothing works!". This helps nobody.

Corrective release 4.3.1 is scheduled for 10th dec, and will include at least 22 bug fixes for grease pencil. Thanks again to all early adopters and bug reporters.

For professional productions its always recommended to use LTS versions.

@natalka_aboutnew_life LTS stands for long time support. A LTS version will get bug fixes (but no other updates) for a long time. Using that you can be sure that there won't be any big and potentially compatibility breaking changes, but any found bugs are still fixed. It's a common concept. Many but not all software products have LTS versions and then in between multiple other versions where new features are added, but there might be breaking changes. So it makes sense that you get the newest LTS version at the start of a Blender project and only get LTS updates during the run of the project to make sure that there won't be any unexpected problems, like a feature that you have used in your project got removed or broken. You could of course just don't do any updates during the run of a project, but there might be bugs that you encounter that you really want to be fixed. With the LTS version you get those fixes without the worry of other changes.

@natalka_aboutnew_life shorter version: LTS = long term support. That version will get bug fixes for a long time, but no new features. New features always come with a chance of breaking something. Also features might be even removed. So using an LTS version and getting updates for that during a project run is a good idea to make sure your workflow isn't interrupted but bugs you may encounter are still fixed. Current LTS is 4.2 (and also even 3.6 is still supported).

the erase make new point and it's create a new point that is thicker in color when I erase a lighter line. but I like the color palete chooser is now no lag.

@@Blenderislove it's just scratching randomly with a thin opacity(light pen pressure) and when you erase the thin scratch/sketch, the eraser makes it bold(so dark) I believe it's because of the new eraser that creates new point that is no the same color opacity as the one that is erased

All recent apple silicone versions of blender seem to be crashing on open for me. Last version that works is 4.0.1. They must be getting sloppy.

It's a unifying force. I was taken aback by seeing literally the most controversial and polarizing issue on the planet drop like a border wall right in the middle of a Blender video. Don't get caught up in semantics. You do decide what you do. I just want to remind you: there's a time and a place for everything.
