Use hair oil only half an or an hour before shampoo and shampoo two times after diluting in water. That should be help, it helped me a lot. Avoid using too much hair oil, use on scalp.

For people like us mixing it with a little water helps in diluting the above mentioned components and also helps in making one bottle last longer. And there have many studies saying sulphates are not as harmful as we label and may inturn protect the hair from any further damage. Try this and thank me later :)

Please don't spread misinformation. Oil can be very bad for some people, because not everyone's skin is the same. And depending what kind of acne you have, it can make it worse as well. If you have oily skin putting more oil is just going to make it worse.

I stopped using coconut or any other oil on my hair after I turned 14. Its been six years now and let me tell you I never had any acne problem nor dandruff problem . Infact my hair is super healthy shiny and smooth . It used to look bad and frizzy immediately after I stopped using oils . But with time i think my scalp began to produce its own natural oil. 2-3 cup Neem leaves powder and 2 cup amla grind and one small ginger stick with coconut oil with two tp badam oil and make homemade one bottle of oil. After this put oil in glass bottle and leave it in sun rays for atleast 3-4 days then use it. It clear dandruff, itchiness. I was very tired from hair fall due to extreme dandruff and pain in hair follicles. Then I made it myself now my extreme hair fall stops,no dandruff ,light itching is still there I have been using that for 2 months even my new baby hair started to grow from that going receding hairline... The thing is you need to find your right oil. It removes build up too I have used as a scalp serum after washing my hair. You need to take very small amount or just put in dropper bottle.

you know as an Indian I've always been told by my mum that we must always stick to home-made remedies for any skin related issues. Well, after becoming an adult I understood that homemade remedies are the best and safest for the most part but you gotta keep in mind that it may not work on every skin type or treat all skin related issues and that's okay. But swearing off hair oil completely doesn't sound right to me. I'm no dermatologist but if you suffer from dandruff or acne you don't have to leave the oil on for more than 1 or 2 hours. You don't have to completely lather your head area with oil but in moderation it does treat most hair related problems (I can only speak for myself and my mum & what *WORKED FOR US* but make of that what you will). Pure oils such as olive & coconut oil can do wonders for your hair so maybe just use in moderation?
