The clear sprite surprised me because I've never seen it, I googled that and apparently they sell it at a grocery store near my house but nobody I know has ever had that at their home or brought it to mine. The only sprite I've ever seen was a clear liquid but was sold in a green bottle. I had no idea cooking shrimp in soda was "a thing" and when I looked this up I was surprised to see recipes for garlic butter shrimp with sprite, caramelized shrimp with 7up, and Coca Cola shrimp also known as "Coke Shrimp," which can be plain or sautéed in with chillies.

When we cook shrimps we just wash and put it in a clay pot, and shake the pot.when the shrimp turns red and the shell is lifted from the meat it means it is already cook.That is Pangasenansi method.
@vannili1003 жыл бұрын
But I would like to try this method cook it with sprite ,ginger and green onions.Thanks for sharing.
@felsernaquinones81443 жыл бұрын
It’s better soak with soda for at least 15 minutes then sauté without water or liquid and when its boiled just cover and turn off the fire. 100% the meat soft and tender not hard.
@reynardfoxx67533 жыл бұрын
@@vannili100 I wonder if you could change the green onion for lemon grass.? Or would it not go with the sprite?

Thanks. Looks like fun. I enjoyed the process, but I do not know what calamansi is. Would you explain, please?
@fingerbarbara22983 жыл бұрын
Calamansi Calamansi, also known as calamondin, Philippine lime, or Philippine lemon, is an economically important citrus hybrid predominantly cultivated in the Philippines. It is native to the Philippines, Borneo, and Sulawesi in Indonesia in Southeast Asia, as well as southern China and Taiwan in East Asia. Calamansi is ubiquitous in traditional Filipino cuisine. It is naturally very sour, and is used in various condiments, beverages, dishes, marinades, and preserves. Calamansi is also used as an ingredient in Malaysian and Indonesian cuisines. Calamansi is a hybrid between kumquat and another species of Citrus.
