Despite all of the trolls in the comments section, this was a very touching video. It's beautiful thing that forgiveness and and the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE of God can be preached. Most people would look at them and say they don't deserve it, knowing nothing of their life and not considering that they do not deserve anything they have as well. None deserve forgiveness or mercy, but God gives it anyway. FREELY. Now, can you give that kind of LOVE?

This film should be shown in every class room to EVERY 15 or16 year old young person. Even if they never had been in any trouble. If every single American kid saw this, I am sure that it could make a difference. Even if just one person thought twice and made a change, it would be worth it. I'm sure it would affect many more than one in a positive way. I'm from Denmark, and even if our prisons are less severe, the reasons for going to prison are the same. I wish a similar film was made in Denmark and shown to all 15-year-olds, and that this was done in every country.

But they never warned you about the pretty little narcotics your doctor's tell you to take & the effects & how addictive they can become. Ugh.. shit makes me so mad. FYI.. I AM AN ADDICT. I AM A RECOVERING HEROIN ADDICT. @Isis Montgomery so you are believing in a god just to save your own skin incase he is real? you dont think your god will god see through your plan? if your god is so loving why would he send amazing kind good people to hell becuase they happen to be born high IQ and inquisitive minds? that doesnt sound very loving does it ? Also hod do you know that the god you are pretending ot believe in is the right one? what if its the wrong god do yo u think it would be fair for him to send you to hell for eternity because you picked the wrong gone? what if you it angered this god more than if you were athiest? wouldnt you then be better than not believing any of the 10,000s of gods we've created?
@steviegbcool5 жыл бұрын
@Isis Montgomery because people with high IQ are harder to fool as they dont believe in things without good evidence. its why most scientists are atheists and why they stopped believing demons made you sick and found real reasons and cures. why would your god punish those great people who don't believe in things without solid evidence? they did not choose not not believe. Belief isnt a choice!! their brain just doesnt let them believe things until their is good evidence! why would god make their brains like that and then punish them for it? . also there have been over 20,000 different gods or versions of god in human history how do you know yout god is the right one? see you choose to ignore the fact that there have been thousands of other gods...

Seeing them carry their dead fellow inmate to his final resting place, and hearing the sound of their hymns of rejoice really broke me up and I couldn't hold it in anymore. I cried like a baby. Not only for the lives trapped in confinement with death as the only way out, but the sights and sounds brought my mind to a time of slavery and what it must have sounded like to hear these black men singing songs of hope to God while shackled to a plow, in a different kind of confinement. Regardless of individual crimes, the experience of black men in this nation has been harsh and it hurts my heart. No one deserves so much pain.

All the people here who are complaining that men in prison dare to be Christians: you should be ashamed of yourselves and you are not real Christians. Jesus came to help ALL of us. We are all sinners. Each and every one of us. Jesus can save ALL of us, including those people who have killed someone. Jesus died as much for them as he died for you. If you believe that anyone is beyond redemption or the grace of God or atonement of the cross, you are not a real christian. I am very proud of these men for giving their lives to God and trying to reach out and help others in their situation. Remember that Paul asked his believers to pray for those in jail. and remember that Christ came to all of us and died for all of us. Let he who is without sin throw the first stone.

charlotte graham I see people every day who are in prison and yet they hopelessly believe they are free. there are no bars no chains other than what they forge in their own mind. freedom consists in Christ for it is Christ who reconciles us with the father, regardless of our environment. there are men and women who are behind bars because of their faith and though punished unjustly are free as these men are. Romans 6: 16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Then reading i found where Jesus , said " i am the way the truth and the life . No man comes unto the father but by me. The lights came on . I told Jesus here it is you said i would come to know the truth and the truth shall make "me free / Jesus you are the truth please set me free . He said tell the truth ! "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness" (1John 1:9). Our secrets keep us sick, feeling worthless, unloved etc. Therefore, I encourage you 2 speak out loud to someone you trust or maybe get some counseling so you can be free to become who God wants you to become. I strongly suggest a Christian counselor who is trained in helping you to get rid of the past and guide you into living a better life. You are not the only one who has done what you have done. Shame and guilt cripples a person, but honesty and transparency with others is healing to the soul. The Apostle James said, "therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). Take a risk and I guarantee you will be free of those dirty secrets and you will begin to love yourself and others better.My bro or sis, TRUST GODS WAY AND HE WILL 4GIVE AND HEAL YOU and cause you to not want to sin against Him or your fellow bro or sis. Also, the Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Romans 10:9 and 10 states, " If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are Justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved". You can do this in the privacy of your home or you can go to a local church that preaches and teaches Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and talk with the pastor and he will lead you in what you need to. God bless you!!

mrdougy fresh I understand too. I wish those that have freedoms daily understand, by these guys in prison, that such liberties can be taken away, and what they will miss themselves. Also, how sad that it sometimes takes going to prison, will one experience this, and thus change. I'm glad that they have someone that preaches about God. I pray they have that EVERY DAY, because now, I feel I need God's word every day too, to help keep me thinking about my future. That narrow road is hard to find, but I'm looking for it, and sometimes find it. My problem is staying on that road, being a mortal person, if you know what I mean. Young people don't deserve to be in prison (yes, their actions caused them to be there, and I agree). But these young people LEARNED that bad was good, because they didn't have more positive influences in their lives, than negative ones. But how does one change, when they live in an environment that bad seems good, and now, when getting them out of that environment seems not the solution? The only solution is to change the environment! ?

You can still honor The Lord Jesus Christ in prison and live a purposeful, meaningful life. You have no idea the people who walk free but live life in a mental prison, trapped in sin. There is a peace that passes all understanding when you commit your life to God to work to do good. Life is prison can be an opportunity to help others from making the same mistakes. Great video, but sad. These men sound fully rehabilitated and they all seem to be under the influence while the crimes were committed. Life is all in your perspective because to some of these guys, going to prison might have been a safe haven. A place to grow up into mature men who can love their kids. I bet some of these men would not be alive if they continued down the path of destruction to ultimately brought them to "prison."

All young men, especially young black men need to see this. There is nothing worse than this, because this isn't living, these men are in jail waiting to die. They have received the death penalty in slow motion. The preacher can talk about God and heaven all he wants, and he can believe in it, because after his sermon, he gets to go home. So he truly believes in what he is saying, because he is free. Each of these men made a serious mistake in there lives, and they can pray all they want, the system is not going to let then out. Our prison systems, exists to punish and sometimes there is no such as a second chance. The bottom line is people have choices in life and if you choose to do bad, this is the results.

These men could be my Uncle, cousins, friends, neighbors etc. I'm actually from Louisiana and was warned by many of the old timers when i was young not to end up in Angola. I feel for these men that will never get out and I wonder why they made the choices they did, but they now seem like decent men who can keep younger people from coming in. I have a cousin in California who got out not too long ago after being in prison for over 42 years. He actually didn't want to get out due to the world being vastly different now than when he went in but he is now working, adjusting to life on the outside and holding a job and speaking with young people in the community to keep them out and make the right choices.
