As someone who was a personal trainer and worked as floor staff, MRSA is a thing! Cover your "assets" or risk infection. People sweat over everything and there is no guarantee that they were kind enough to wipe down all surfaces. Plus, the number of people who come out of the bathroom without washing their hands... Just clean your machine before and after use. The staff can't always keep on top of it. Trampoline parks and indoor playgrounds are another place for MRSA.

No non approved (in writing) cameras in the gym. Everyone is to wear at least a non see through singlet with enclosed sides and chest and, shorts that go 3/4 length to the knees and, enclosed shoes. Male genitalia in the mens locker/shower room. Female genitalia in the womens locker/shower room. Wipe down machines after use. 5 set max before having to swap machines. No dropping weights outside of the the heavy lift area. These should be the standard rules set for any type of gym. Make specific rules outside of them for any other type of gym. Ive found these were always the best gyms to go to. No one would get all uppity and men and women would spot each other at random times when they needed a spotter and or wanted to hog a machine (they could both just swap out between the sets limit)

I used to work front desk at a gym and it was always the women who had a problem if I told them what was inappropriate to wear. Men aren’t allowed to be shirtless, wear jeans or outer wear (tho that’s both) nothing that shows off their junk. Their underwear can’t show. Same rules apply to girls, can’t be working out in a sports bra, no booty shorts, crop tops are ok as long as it is actually clearly a top and can’t be mistaken for a bra. But OMG the number of girls who would yell at me for “over sexualizing them and not allowing them the freedom to dress comfortably blah blah blah” like no miss. The same freaking rules that apply to you also apply to the men. You can’t wear or show your underwear. You can’t be topless. You can’t show of your junk, doesn’t matter if it’s in the front or in the trunk nobody wants to see it! Like I have young teens coming to work out, I don’t want my gym looking like a playboy photo zone! We have a women’s only gym area where only women 16+ are allowed to enter and you can dress that way in there if you’d like but please respect other people in a public space! Maybe you feel comfortable but you’re making others uncomfortable and that’s not fair either!
