Tulsa Time and I Believe In You are a must for your next Don Williams reactions. He was known as the gentle giant in country music. Absolutely wonderful singer.

Never would I have imagined anyone reacting to Don Williams!!! This is my childhood, I will never forget the drive from Texas back to Minnesota with my dad as a kid and listening to Don Williams almost the entire way. My first concert that I remember was with my parents in a small ballroom to see Don Williams, I was by far the youngest one there. Love it!!! More Don Williams please!!!

His voice is as smooth as honey. He was always at the top of my list of great singers. I felt his concert was such a humbling experience. Loved him. RIP

I always loved Amanda. It was probably the first song I'd ever heard by him. I can still remember my aunt and uncle dancing in the living room to it. Such a smooth and soothing voice. Always loved Don Williams! I'd say its more of an anniversary song than a wedding song...

I think Amanda is my favorite of his, always managed to hear it on the radio 😀

I've always had this on my phone as a ring tone. For 15 years. His songs helped me with my Dad's dying and when my husband was killed. His voice was just so smooth to listen to. He does this song with a lot of people in the crowd that sang it with him in one of his shows. You really should listen to that one.

This song makes me both happy and sad. It was my mom's favorite song. She and my dad became best friends when she was 11 and he moved in across the street at age 13. They were then married for almost 50 years when she passed away a couple of years ago. I can remember her turning up the volume and singing along to this song whenever it came on the radio. I miss her terribly and I know that it's not even close to the loss that my dad still feels today.

If not a wedding song, a landmark wedding anniversary song. He's already got my tear ducts flowing. Try "I Believe in You" and have your box of tissues nearby.

My favorite musician. Loved him since i was 8 years old and finally got to see him a few years before he passed. Great song!! He was married to his wife for over 50 years and had a huge following in Zimbabwe and spent time there. Good ol boys like me is his story and it's a deep song, I'd love for you to hear it. So glad to see Don Williams anywhere, anytime.

I love this man's singing, it weaves through the memories of a time when I was in love with a most interesting man. Driving to work, and then to this man, I listened to Don William's music in the 70s. I can't think of a single song I am not fond of. I enjoy watching you find my old friends!!

This song was rewritten as a gospel song after this was released. As mentioned, anything Don Williams sung is worth listening to. He is so underrated, and from what I read, he was also so down to earth, never let the fame go to his head.

This was my Dad's song for my Mom, I do not think he's been able to listen to it since she died suddenly last year of a cardiac event. I do occasionally, because it's cathartic and reminds me of the great relationship that created me. After nearly sixty years of marriage, my Dad is half a person and he would be the first to say so.

Don was a member of the Opry in the late 1970s and early 1980s he got the hat from a Bert Reynolds movie WW and Dixie Dance kings.... Don was an excellent guitarist He started his career with Poco and entered the Country Music Hall of Fame. Check Tulsa Time which is a hit in the country music linedancing crowd...

This is a great love song. Don had several of these and some other great songs. My suggestions would be: "Miracles" "I Believe In You" "Good Ol Boys Like Me" "I'm Just A Country Boy" "Lord I Hope This Day Is Good" Glad to see Don Williams getting some love and I look forward to the next song of his you react to.

I've been listening to Don Williams for a long time. As you can tell he can evoke your emotions with his easy going style. "I'm Just a Country Boy", is another one of his songs that you'll like. I'd like your reaction to B.B. King and Randy Travis singing "Waitin' on the Light to Change".

I would call it an Anniversary rather than a Wedding song. Marriage has lots of ups and downs. When one partner is struggling the other one should be helping them. Not with money and gifts, but with emotional support. Holding when hurting. Holding when angry. Holding when your happy.
@Dana-fy8bg2 жыл бұрын
Don Williams, I don’t think there’s a bad song in his repertoire. They called him The Gentle Giant and his music backed it up. Just a taste of his music: If I Needed You (with Emmylou Harris) Come Early Morning Amanda (also hear it from Waylon Jennings) We Should Be Together I Wouldn’t Want to Live If You Didn’t Love Me Say It Again Some Broken Hearts Never Mend I’m Just a Country Boy Rake and Ramblin’ Man Good Ole Boys Like Me I Believe in You Lord I Hope This Day Is Good If Hollywood Don’t Need You Love Is on a Roll Maggie’s Dream I Just Came Here for the Music (with Alison Krauss)
