I was home sick from school the day this aired. My senior year of high school. I remembered how shocked the audience was. I went out the next day and bought the As Nasty As They Wanna Be cassette. Phil Donahue put me on to 2 Live Crew!! Now that I'm 51, I can see when Uncle Luke pointed at the crowd when he said " Fucking all the hoes!" Fresh Kid Ice did the PG version. Brother Marquis did the R version. He didn't give a fuck. I remember being in Frozen Paradise in Savannah on Broughton St and Fresh Kid Ice came through and did a lil Hype work in the DJ booth.

We did get to meet them though and no surprise, they were cool as fuck to us. There were ton of these shows at the time and throughout the 90s. Tv was full of them. Now the whole genre is dead. You cant do this stuff anymore. Jerry springer was washed down years before the final episode. Which is why it ended. Jerry Springer went from controversial topics to nothing but men and women cheating on their partners. Ricki lakes tried to make a return and it wasnt the same. The closes things we still have are steve wilkos,maury,and the re runs of jerry springer. I grew up hearing how controversial those older shows were. By the time i started watching shows like montell had long gone.
