The only thing that would change with getting rid of the electoral college is how the president is elected. And why should the president not be about how many people for the person no matter where they live in the country? It isn't a state's issue. The president is supposed to represent all of us as a country. The electoral college makes some votes matter more than others simply by where people live. That is undemocratic. So even though more people may vote for one person because the votes in certain states end up mattering more the other person can become president.
