Hi Don, i want to thank you for your tremendous guidance and supportive videos. I listened to 3-4 videos everyday listening to tips and placing them to practice. I was nervous but within less than 1 week I went through all 3 phrases for the interview (virtual, phone , in person) I got the job at bank of america making double what I used to make and greater benefits even better located 10 mins away from my home. I'm thankful that God put you in my path and may you continue to be a powerful world changer and be blessed in every area of your life 🤗❤🙏

Hi Don. Just wanted to THANK YOU for all the videos that you posted on how to do well in job interviews. I've watched most of your videos more than once and I can say they're all valuable tools to have when going for an interview. I finally got the dream job that I've been looking for and if it wasn't for your videos, it would have probably taken me longer on my job search. I went thru 9 interviewers for this one job, and I think the key why I was offered this job, I was consistent with my answers and showed (as you have suggested) shown enthusiasm during the interview process. Thanks again Don! You're the best one out there. So for anyone who's currently looking for a job, please watch Don's videos and follow it to a T!

5:00 Don, at my current company, when one applies for an internal job, the first question we are asked: "What is frustrating you the most, about your current position?" I have come to gather, saying, "Oh, nothing, I'm just seizing an opportunity to advance," doesn't sound truthful. So, "speak negative about SITUATIONS, but don't speak negative about specific PEOPLE," is what I would assume would be the better route to go (in answering that question).
@zackaaron64872 жыл бұрын
In one of my interviews, after answering most of these 10 questions very close to your advices here, at the end of the interview I got an answer like: "You're good, but not for this position. Could we keep your CV in case something else pops-up?" I am curious, what do you make of that?

Oh, goody. A job interview where none of the questioners have a clue. I used to work at IBM. The development managers had to create their own recruitment team, the results from HR were so bad. Don, How do you identify the people that come in early, leave late and do most of the work? Here's a great question. "We are going to develop a new software system to increase the speed of our website by a factor of 100. Can you write the application in the next hour?" Download it, install it and test it?

Thank you so much for the videos you create and the insight and tips you offer. I love your channel! I have 10 years of experience in my field but have always been in the bottom range of pay at companies. I’ve tried through the years to apply for hundreds of jobs offering better pay, but I would rarely make it past the first interview and when I did, I was offered more low ball pay. I felt stuck and incompetent in my work. After watching dozens of your videos, I completely changed my approach to interviews and focused on story telling, to share my experience. I’ve been applying for jobs again for the past month and I’ve connected with 3 companies who have all given me offers 25-35% over my current pay and in the upper range of my field. Thank you so much!

Hey don i have a very serious question that has been bothering me as of lately.. I’ve been seeking a new job and during my interviews I have been told to tell the employer about myself..& when I do so I’ve always referred to my work history… but that has not been the answer the employers have been looking for. I am very stern on the separation of business and personal life & I feel it is unfair for employers to want a insight on my personal life when they don’t coincide together at all do you have answers to those type of questions?

I just want to say I just found your videos on KZbin and I really like them and I appreciate all the information you give it's really helpful but only to a certain degree. And I know you can't give for every career path but it would really be helpful if you could give advice on legal interviews such as a paralegal interview with the DOJ. Law is so much different than the corporate world the structure the culture everything is completely different. If you could frame a video on legal interviews for jobs such as a paralegal or legal Assistant that would be super uber helpful. Especially since I have one coming up. And it's a big one one I've worked for. Again thank you for your helpful videos and the time you give to create these videos it's very much appreciated.

Hello Don, what is your opinion about companies asking job candidates to complete pre-interview assignments? I think I'll refuse the next one unless they agree to give feedback after I submit the assignment. I have completed two assignments for two different companies. One company said that I got all the formulas correct - but I didn't make it to the next round of interviews. For the other company I created an agenda and email announcement, prioritize a to do list. Their response was - " there are other candidates in the process who are a stronger match for our needs."

All your videos helped me a lot. Thank you very much. Today, I want your opinion about my experience. I finished a phone interview, and everything went great. At the end of the conversation, the interviewer asked me about my experience. I only have one year of experience in the USA, but tons of experience abroad in the same area and beyond, to the point of being overqualified, but I do not know if he liked that because his tone changed. He told me that he will send 10 resumes to the person that will conduct the personal interviews. That person will decide to call me or not. He wishes me the best, but the only thing he can make is a note of what I said to him. At the end of the interview, he sounded positive and enthusiastic and he told me to wait until the end of next week and give him a call, but in his opinion, I am good enough for the position. Yes, I am confused.
