I watched about 10 of your videos preparing for my interview, used a lot of advises, asked the right questions, praised my last job, showed enthusiasm. Manager gave away, that I was not the most experienced one and lacked some qualifications, but I got the job anyway! I feel so grateful!

(Jotting down for myself) *my greatest strength *understand their problems and why they're hiring you. -Show them how u can solve their problems and how you've tackled similar problems *make the interview about them and why you're interested in that/what excites you *ask them specific questions that shows that you understand what the company/role is and what their expectations are (I want the nob cuz I need the money VS this is what I do this is what I am and this is what I love doing) *mirror their body language and vocal tones to show them you are like them *be humble and honest Instead of "I dont know" say "i dont know ___but I've done something similar" Be clear on why you are leaving the job REMEMBER PAST EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS *Be clear on why you want to leave your job

Don, I have followed you for a while. I had a HUGE interview scheduled for this past Monday. I knew it would be a situational interview. What I didn't realize was there would be 4 people staring me down. I had been practicing, and practicing, and.... Towards the end of the interview, they asked me if I had questions. I did. The last question I asked them was: based on our discussion if they had any reservations about my fitness for the role (I got that tip from you). I think I caught them off guard. They finally answered and said: No. Overall, I feel like I had a successful interview process. One more thing, I had always hoped that somehow you would tell me what questions they would ask me. How crazy is that? What I realized from watching you is that they had to be my stories! My experiences! Thank you, Don!

I’ve been dealing with the same issues over the years being in the final two and coming up short! Been that way most of my life always the one who misses out on the job I love doing! Such is life! Been rejected many times over from jobs to women and society!! In the end I will say this , God has bigger plans for me! These job rejections and rejections from women and society, means that I am meant for something far greater than this! My life to the world means so much more! Before my last breath , my true purpose will be revealed to me and to the world!

The long vs short answers are dependant on what type of interview it is. I've had interviews where they wanted to talk for a literal half hour after each question. I've also had interviews that require answers in less than a minute.

Re: talk about them. It does make me think of a first date analogy. If a man only talks nonstop about himself and doesn’t ask about me. It makes me think he’s not interested in me, he’s interested and in himself. Of course he has to share enough to show he brings something to the table. And also one doesn’t want to feel like on a date that it’s 21 questions.

I didnt take the job but I was offered the position to an interview that I felt I bombed and would never get a call back. They asked questions to things I was not prepared for. I felt they were questions that were a level or 2 above the position they listed so i pretty much spent half the interview telling them i don't know the answer. Apparently they liked me and I believe its because even though i didn't know. I asked questions to have them clarify what they wanted and that if I understood correctly I believe this is how I would solve the problem even though i lacked the schooling or experience to even know what the term they used was that was specific to the industry. Some questions even after I questioned them I still did not understand it enough to give them an answer.

I always found the info that you gave out was similar to info that I read from a certain individual over 14 years ago ...even your early videos and go get em sales attitude was similar to a certain individual. Then it dawned on me .....you've been plowing through Tony Beshara interview books for your information all this time. Tony Beshara was the first person that dissected interviews, and told people to sell themselves, but his tactics were sometimes too strong for non sales people in interviews. But this is what people are using now.

Don, I'm having a problem where sometimes I would get interviews, get good signs that I may get the job, but I don't get hired. I'm almost convinced it's because of my bad online reputation. I was involved in a high profile court case and made a mistake that attracted various media outlets. I do not have a criminal background but people think I do. I had to do some community service. I've hired a reputation company to get the information off of the internet, but it's taking a long time and a lot of money. I'm starting to think that maybe I should just bring it up in the interview and give my side of the story or put it in my cover letter so they know up front and won't be surprised learning about it later on their own. But i'm at the point where I think that's way too risky. I don't know. Any advice?
