Thank you soooo much for posting this! I was the little girl who was dressed as the Statue of Liberty and I have been searching for a clip of this for years. A friend found it for me today. Gratitude and a million thank yous.💛✨

😂 thank you! We improvised our lines and I remember my mother coaching me before I went on and telling me to speak loudly. And I did. Lol I was 5 years old then. I'm 38 now. Wow. I'm still in shock that we found it. I've watched it so many times. Lol

For those of you who grew up with Kimmel, Colbert and Fallon as your only late night choices, THIS is what comedy television used to be. Instead of ranting about a President five nights a week, hosts used to actually keep things light and fun to take your mind off of politics. Hosts and writers used to try to make the audience laugh and have fun, instead of doing a mean-spirited monologue and kneeling down to vapid celebrity guests.
@dmiller10003 жыл бұрын
You are mostly correct here - but notice in one of the other comments there is already a reference to something here being "inappropriate". Apparently it is only appropriate to rank on Trump and any other conservative entity. As for the vapid celebrity guests, that is not really new - Carson devolved into it when he moved to CA in 1972. Can you believe the low ratings these late night shows now get, and that the networks seem to be happy with? Each one of them averages less than 2 million viewers in a country of 340 million people? Why do advertisers even support these shows at this point?

I’ve remembered this one since it first aired because of the impersonator of Elvis impersonators. Thanks for the memories.

I believe her name is Jocelyn. I recognize her from the same sketch from another video maybe a couple years later. I’m guessing she’s the daughter of a staff member.

It's really interesting to note that Paul says take a shave and Norm Macdonald has joked that his father said take a shave. Must be a Canadian thing, although as a Canadian I've never heard it before.

When they did these Halloween segments they would often have kids appear more than once. And some of the kids would come back for Halloween segments in other years like the kid selling the knives.

Wait, unless they also did this on the morning show, wouldn't this have been the fourth year? I actually prefer Paul playing "Spooky" over the opening graphics, but it's surreal not hearing the canned Halloween noises.

And which will all disappear unless You Tube fixes a bloody mess: Yesterday my channel was attacked with 12 fraudulent copyright violation claims, all from anime-related interests. There is no anime in any of my uploads. None. You Tube is scheduled to remove my channel and account next week unless they make things right. In the meantime, they've shut down my ability to upload anything until this mess is sorted out before next week's shutdown.

My personal favorite was Walter Matthau. I was hoping the kid would try a voice. The outfit is from the film Pete 'n' Tillie with Carol Burnett I gather. Totally inappropriate because it was a bedroom scene. Might be from Odd Couple though.

It's either referring to "House Calls" (1978) or "Little Miss Marker" (1980), where in both films he's left in his underwear due to a mishap.
