This show was a classic. Stay up late, watch crazy stuff that very few other people were watching and have nobody to talk to about it the next day. I used to go to high school in the 80's with my eyes half open because I was up until midnight watching Letterman, and it was worth it!

@colwilliamnoydb413411 ай бұрын
I grew up watching David in high school. My cousin and I would stay up late and watch and just laugh while sometimes getting high. His show was perfect. Then going to his show when I was a young Marine officer. Went to two tapings, was great and that was back at NBC. His show became a part of American Culture, with the Stupid Pet and Human Tricks, and the Top Ten. News stations and radio stations would broadcast the previous nights top tens on air. I watched the whole week of his last show, was heart breaking and terrific. It was not just the interviews with Movie and Music Stars, World Leaders, and such, but the Military people as well, the average Joe, him working at that Taco Bell and raking people leaves, him and his stunts were perfect, throwing things off the building and blowing stuff up. His love for his mother who did some live broadcast and helped as a interviewer as well on remotes. His love for Ball state and of course Payton Manning. Never will be another Dave.

That Roger Ebert display made me feel nice and then bad after a while. A favourite of mine. I mean he has passed on but even now when I search for movies in 2020, the name Roger Ebert pops up saying he has done the review. I wonder why they do it, it just feels so awfully not correct. Just saying. Just doesnt feel right. At least the search result should say Roger Ebert's fans have done it or something. Not just 'Roger Ebert's take on 2020 movies' blatantly and then say otherwise inside the page . Also, it just feels like dirty and in bad taste. Rip
