Its a major help to teach them to side pass around on long lines before being hooked to the cart. Also avoid short or 90 degree turns in the first stages in the cart. Avoids confusion for the animal.

I noticed this buggy doesnt have brakes. Is that not an issue with a buggy that small?

I don't know if its the same, but I have a cart kinda like that for my mini horse and it doesn't have breaks :/
